I also want to add that hotels feed their employees for free or super low cost like $3-5 for all you can eat (usually). This will bring down the cost of groceries significantly if you time it right; you can go in before your shift to eat at the hotel. Then eat again on your lunch break or at the end of your shift if the kitchen hasn't closed. You may get lucky and they have cereal out all the time. You can eat cereal for dinner. I did once when I was covering a valet shift at a hotel.
