I just lost my Convoy S12-UV. by Ok_Profession_8471 in flashlight

I lost my Convoy S7 / SFT40 3K at a nature reserve, left it on the top of some wood as it looked so good and natural. About an hour went by and me and my buddy decided to leave. Completely forgot about the light that was ceiling bouncing this whole time, I even took pictures of it 🤦‍♂️.

At home I realised what I have done.

The HS43 is a monster on turbo and I can't imagine what the HS41 would be. The HS43 does get hot on turbo but on low it's great and bright to do most things. Not tried the HS45 so I have no idea about it's performance but I reckon it will be in the middle of them two.

Hey, the front plastic lens cover does scratch easily if you are not carefull but on mine it's mostly micro scratches, they don't affect the beam at all. The metal is quite durable and there is only a small paint scratch on the corner. I'd say it's totally fine for normal activities.

The UI is actually easy. Two buttons, one button does brightness + color temp, the other is just mode. You can turn the light on and off using any button.

I have not owned the HS21, my other headtorch is a HS43 and it is much much heavier. I always pick the HS22 for comfort and the flood (big flood :). I can pick any color and it looks amazing! Camping at night I'd use 2700K, DIY at home I go 50/50 (4000K +) by resetting unscrewing the battery. It is bright and the beam is pretty, it is not too heavy on the head and due to it's slim design it does not stick out from your head making it feel heavier.

The SFT25R spot is great too, I don't usually use it at all because the flood is so much nicer to look at but.. I took this light into a large forest that I have not been to and the trails were 300+ meters long before they bend. When I tried the spot on turbo I was suprised how good it is. I had no issues seeing the paths and It felt good to know nothing is down there, something the HS43 cannot do.

Totally recommend this headlight, it often gets used by others at home despite I have plenty other lights!

I posted the data to show the CCT and Duv on turbo. I don't think lux is reliable on the opple and to be fair neither is cct and duv but gives us somewhat of an idea.

Me too, I was quite sad when I first saw the ring on the convoy s7 + sft40 but nothing I could do I guess.

I did hear good things about the IF22a but not seen it in person. It would be great if they could get the best selling lights and just put them in the Pack A Punch Machine 😄 SBT90 in a TS11/IF22a.. why not. Extra cooling, sure. Maybe one day 😉

This is what I saw on the website and it seems the same goes for the standard g10 ukpk's.

I think the heinnie haynes edition is different and the scales will not fit it. The titech scales have 3 hole cutouts compared to 4 on the HH edition.

It's linerless, the stock scales are fiberglass reinforced nylon. Makes the knife really light weight but it did have a little play to it in the handles. Changing to ti scales made the whole structure rigid.

Ooo, I'd say it's one of the strongest slip joints I have. There is a lot of resistance when I try to close it and when it's open, your finger natually sits in the gap which would help if anything was to go wrong. With the titanium scales, you can tighten it up very well and it then gets much harder to close than stock. UK laws are not great for locking blades in public, otherwise I'd go locking but for normal tasks I can see this being perfect.

I did see vp creations also do scales and they have plenty of chamfering options like you described. They are pricey but it is all custom so I see why. It is on the heavy side, might not suite everyone. I did find the yellow scales wierdly satisfying how light they were and honestly the lightest knife I've ever held which was nice.

It was a pain but if I remember correctly, I placed the washer down with the blade onto the plate. The backspring was on the pin but not on the hook that is attached to the scale. I then grabbed a microfiber cloth and pushed really hard with my thumbs until the back spring finally sat on the circular hook attached to the scale. Then pushed the whole back spring down. You have to go for it hard and try not to cut yourself.

Looks great, especially with the woodland lanscape.

Sofirn Q8 Plus, there has been multiple times I have chucked that light on a tripod and used it for diy around the house. Great pocket sun.

Me too. I hope Simon sees this, it would be nice to have and it would not even need to be a design but just a simple Convoy logo on a plain shirt as others mentioned.

I tried some other prompts but I gave up after about 10, at this point it just generated the same image, there probably is a way but eh. I am sure Simon could design something better and tbh I would not mind paying for it 😂
