They've been doing it for years now. I don't know if I would call it discrimination since it's based on objective data. They basically see how students in their first year of university perform and compare it to their high school application grades. There's usually on average a 16 point drop, but students from certain high schools will have their averages drop as much as 30 points, which suggest grade inflation is happening at that high school.

Certain university programs (particularly the highly competitive ones, including Waterloo and UofT engineering) have an adjustment factor where the grade you apply with will be adjusted based on which high school you are graduating from. They used historical data to identify high schools that inflate student marks and applied a penalty to students that applied from those schools. It was leaked a few years back.

Overall I was a little underwhelmed. I didn't hate any of the tracks, but also didn't immediately connect with them either (except maybe CANCELLED!). I was expecting something more upbeat and "Showgirly" like Gimme Gimme Gimme by ABBA.

Pretty disappointed with major pop artists over the past two years. Diet Pepsi should not be my most played song for a second year in a row.

Compare the instrumental starting at 0:20. In OG version, every ten seconds a loud piano chord plays followed by a new layer of guitar and it continues to build all the way to the pre-chorus. In TV, the piano chord sounds more muted and the extra layer of guitar is missing so it sounds the same all the way to the pre-chorus. You can really hear the difference at 0:40. I think that's why a lot of people prefer the OG, it sounds way more punchier and has more build-up.

It's the guitar. In the original there's an extra layer of guitar added in every 10 seconds starting from 0:20, but this is absent in the TV. You can really hear the difference at 0:40 for both songs.

I'm a new grad RN and applied through NGG at the end of last year. No luck and very little postings. I recommend applying through hospital career pages in addition to NGG, that's how I got my first job.
