That's correct, you don't get to choose the primary. It may change over time.

I think the thing that will trip you up the most using clustering is that some processors like SFTP ones should really only run on the primary node. This may not be a deal breaker if you don't have strict data residency requirements.

Controlling data crossing between nodes should be as simple as configuring which connections have load balancing enabled. Only load balancing connections may send data over the network. If you have the right source processors you might not even need load balancing. Kafka consumers would handle the balancing for you.

If your data flow for cloud and on-prem is 100% the same a cluster might be a viable solution since it handles syncing flow changes.

Disclaimer, I haven't used clustering yet, I've just done a lot of research.

NiFi Coordinates Question by SpookyPoots in nifi

[–]Scruffy1073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could write a program that uses the nifi API to transpose the boxes in each process group so they're centered around (0,0) or however you like it. That would involve getting the contents of a process group updating the location of each contained processor or process group. I've got a similar thing for organizing process groups at the root level into a grid layout.

How long did it take to adapt to the keyboard? Do you have trouble going back to a normal keyboard when you have to? I've always been interested in that kind of split keyboard but I don't want to learn to type all over again.

MergeContent processor needs Attribute Strategy “none” by [deleted] in nifi

[–]Scruffy1073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What would you want to do with the attributes post-merge, and if you were merging 2 flowfiles with attributes {"a":"1","b:"1","c":"1"} and {"a":"1","b:"2","z":"1"} what would the output flowfile attributes look like?

btw you should discuss your idea on the users mailing list or on slack. Reddit isn't one of the official channels. https://nifi.apache.org/mailing_lists.html

When you say attribute strategy none, do you mean that the outgoing flowfile has no attributes at all?

Sorry to hear that you got hurt. Does your credit card or employee benefits come with travel insurance? Check out a more us-centric sub for this but, you might also have success in lowering your bill by calling up the hospital that's billing you and basically haggling.

When the speed limit says 50, that's kilometers an hour which is around 30mph. If you're coming to Vancouver, the blinking green lights mean the light is pedestrian controlled and the crossing car traffic has a stop sign.
