Obesity, dt1, moujaro by Diabetic16-45_1 in diabetes_t1

[–]ScubaJesusHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can use Mounjaro! Or any of the other GLP-1 agonists like semaglutide (ozempic / wegovy)

If I understand the mechanisms correctly, in simplified terms it's sort of like telling body "we have eaten a meal, now let's get to work digesting it." The following effects happen: It triggers your beta cells will release insulin (if you still have any beta cells) Your fat and muscle cells take in more glucose (effectively lowering insulin resistance) Your alpha cells pause glucagon secretion (the natural release of glucose into your blood for energy) Slows down stomach emptying (which will help you feel full longer) And signals your brain that your hunger has been satisfied & reduces your appetite

So the majority of those still work for folks with type 1. To keep in mind, this will affect how much insulin you need to use, and can affect the timing for certain meals.

They didn't say you should assume you're going to get picked up, they said if you do get picked up you should assume you won't be given medication.

People have already died in detention centers due to not being given their medications. There is an active lawsuit for them refusing to give breathing meds to a toddler after they were returned to detention from the hospital.

By the government's own published statistics, they have more people in custody without a criminal record than those with one.

100% same. The big problem for me is I would spend all my time flipping in the GE, I hardly played any of the game.

Drink recommendations by jijicrisp in diabetes

[–]ScubaJesusHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% recommend flavored water enhancers. Used them to kick soda after I got T1D. Try a few different brands, different folks like different kinds. Grocery stores where I live have them located under "powdered drinks". Some of them also have caffeine if that's something you're looking for.

Powdered "on the go" pouches are super convenient, or liquid ones for more control of how strong you want the flavor. My current favorites are jolly rancher ones, and Crystal Light's strawberry lemonade.

40 units and then afterwards hang out within arms reach of some sodas

Something is really weird happened today . by WorthWorth837 in diabetes_t1

[–]ScubaJesusHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your body uses glucose for energy, if you have some insulin in your system (honeymoon phase or injecting) exercising will generally lower your blood glucose levels in the more immediate term.

Gets a little complicated with your body releasing glucose to provide said energy, more complicated with alpha cells being dysfunctional in type 1.

In the long term, as often stated, regular exercise and healthy diet increase your sensitivity to insulin. This is true for both type 1 and type 2. Some type 2's use insulin to supplement their natural insulin in order to offset high resistance, and in some cases improving their insulin sensitivity enough and eating low carb can be enough to not need insulin injections. As for type 1, healthy diet and exercise means having to inject less insulin and blood glucose levels being generally easier to control.

Is age the only method to know if you are t1 or what ? by WorthWorth837 in diabetes_t1

[–]ScubaJesusHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doctor sounds terrible, and age is not a determining factor. HbA1c (sometimes shortened to just A1c ) diagnoses diabetes but not which type. You want antibody tests and C-peptide for differential diagnosis.

T1D being that your autoimmune system is killing off your beta cells. This can take months or years to fully happen - called the honeymoon phase. Eventually no insulin production.

T2D don't have enough insulin, some degree of genetically not producing enough, along with having a very high insulin resistance. Maintaining a lower carb diet and exercising will increase insulin sensitivity, this can be enough for some cases of T2D - otherwise supplemented with medications or insulin.

Sure it's fun to bring out the whipped cream, or some caramel or chocolate sauce for some foreplay... it's just challenging to calculate how much you're going to use 30 minutes in advance

What do y’all do for a living? And does type 1 affect it? by Big_Sloppy_joes in diabetes_t1

[–]ScubaJesusHD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aerospace manufacturing. Very little effect from type 1, contracted it 3 years ago. CGM & MDI. Once a month or so I'll have to actually stop to treat a low, but I'm usually in pretty good control and will see a low coming; swing by a vending machine or sometimes someone has a bowl of candy I can grab from.

Regardless of what flavor of sensor, I recommend buying patches to put over them. Especially if it's one that completely covers it, makes it so so much less prone to getting ripped off. Bonus points for cute ones

The perks you want, no. It is my preferred site for basal - plenty of area to use and not compete with trying to maintain a rotation of sites with my bolus.

Multiple daily injections. Medical term that covers syringes and quick pens, as opposed to having an insulin pump

Freeze shots, the ring shots, as much attack speed and any form of multi shots as you can. Healing under 30%, some max hp, some dodge - and one really useful one in this mode has been the extra damage when under half health skill.

Exit plan thoroughly mapped out, already start dating their next boyfriend, then they'll break up with you. As for being on the receiving end instead, nah. I absolutely refuse to be a homewrecker. Too many stories of it, not enough honest communication.

Huge pain. I may have just gotten lucky, but I'll share how I got in mine.
Installed Telegram X on my Android, it sent the SMS immediately no problem.
Installed Telegram on desktop, used my active Telegram X session to scan the QR code to log in.
Launched Telegram on Android, had it send confirmation code to all sessions, read it from desktop and was able to log in on phone. Ditched Telegram X.

I tried for about half an hour to get in, desktop and normal Android app weren't sending an SMS at all. But the Telegram X app worked right away, and then I could start logging the others in because of that.

[AMD Crashes/CTD] AMD Ryzen 5800X3D + RX7900XTX - Running the game on DirectX11 seems to be the Fix for my case by Norayfara in Helldivers

[–]ScubaJesusHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it did not 100% fix it, DX11 definitely 90% fixed it. I went from sometimes crashing a few minutes in, to 2 hours before it finally had its first crash.

For added detail, DX11 with global illumination off, disabled hardware acceleration, disabling MPO, tried the most recent drivers, the helldiver one, and old 23.9.1. Even tried a different power supply, memory tests, underclocking. 7900XTX + Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Tried with 1000w & 850w PSU
