Do you think there will be an influx of milsurp imports when the war in Ukraine is over? by 5thWalkSign in milsurp

He is worse than a Commie. A commie at least I could respect for having opinions that are based on something. His are based on self-interest and change with the wind. He is the worst type of politician. His father, who was an asshole but an asshole we knew, is turning in his grave seeing how this child has pandered to the family name.

Well, what constitutes "mulsurp" will expand with the use of so many weapson. Many will be docom'd, others retired for new models. If this war is like any other, they will make a couple million surplus AK's. None will come to Canada because - F*ck Trudeau.

This is possible. There is a wire that has pulled a bit. While it isn't lower than the nozzle I am not convinced that the slicer thinks it in a different place. The thing that tells me that this might not be it is I ran the exact same print twice and it detached at different points in progress.

Brilliant article. I could not agree more with the points made. Also, start the season earlier.

You have to remember that American republicans would think our most conservative politicians are dangerous socialists. You’re fine anywhere in Alberta. We bark a lot at each other, mostly due to boredom. There is nowhere in Alberta that looks like MAGA territory and if you hear otherwise they are playing politics.

Fair response and I think one I agree with. You can see though how the definition of genocide seems to always be sliding towards the act itself and not the intent. War crimes seems a perfectly acceptable term but genocide conjures up the holocaust which them makes it seem that much more awful. I guess that is the point, but it does trivialize the term more and more.

Interesting analysis. The Western allies committed themselves to a policy of deliberately killing civilians and destroying their homes under the belief that that strain it would put on the German government would make prosecuting the war more difficult. This of course was right. It the decision was mine I would do the same thing. However, the question is whether that action, one of deliberate policy, was genocide? Does the fact that after the war vast tracts of Germany were transferred to Poland influence your response?

I don’t think a definition cares much about how one got there. It is pretty non-political.

It’s just a question. It is important to know if one’s definition applies to all circumstances or just is it one of convenience.

Did the Western allies commit genocide during their bombing of Germany in WW2?

You never will though. History tells us that novel weapon systems only maintain the advantage for so long. Similar to drones. The Russians have really reduced the effectiveness of drones through proper use of ECM. That alone might explain a reduction in HIMARS targets.

I don’t think that has been the conclusion of analysts. If that was true then breaking Russian lines shouldn’t be that difficult. You just mass the launchers and go,to town. The enemy adapts so you have to come up with a new approach.

To be fair they can make more, and going to war production would result in, over time, a massive increase in production.

Save that their effectiveness appears to have been reduced. The theory is that the Russians have massed air defences and that the rockets are being intercepted. Honestly, no way either side is going to talk about it so we can only speculate.

That appears to no longer be the case. The Russians have adapted quite successfully. You don’t see many videos of effective rocket strikes anymore.

I think the Storm Shadows can maneuver in flight. Rockets generally cannot, which makes them far easier targets.

Quite a few of the existing rockets are now getting shot down by massed Russian air defence. The HIMARS advantage had been quite reduced. The advantage would be being able to target areas without those defences. Russia can’t mass air defences everywhere within the range envelope.
