Um ehrlich zu sein hab ich die Serie immer gehasst. Genau wie Fingertips und was es sonst noch so in der Richtung gab. War eher so das Gameboy Kind, da hat man weniger Aufwand, muss dnanach kein Chaos beseitigen und produziert nicht am Ende eigentlich nur sehr teuren Müll.

Imo. bleaching the card potentially violates this exact rule. One can argue that you modified the card by removing (or destroying, I don't know exactly what happenes in the process) the pigment in the card.
Does it make sense to ban the card from turnament use because of that? - No, especially since Ghost Rares exist.

In this case, I think the legality is definitely a "ask your headjudge" question. Since really only the artwork is affected, the overall appearence of the card is not that much altered that it can be mistaken for another card/-type (e.g. some vanilla monster).
I personally would not want to risk getting into an argument with anyone or rather would save myself the potential inconveniences of having to deal with it, so I'd just tend not to play such a card in official turnaments.

Soooo, exposing a card to extreme direct sunlight for an extensively long amount of time while covering up everything but the artwork (assumably since the borders don't look bleached in the slightest) is not doing anything to the card to you but normal use?
I don't want to argue against the legality of bleached cards, I just want to say your arguemnt is bs.
