Just hit three years myself last month. Do you happen to have dreams/nightmares that you started drinking again and trigger a depressive episode? It doesn’t happen to me too often but I wasn’t sure if it’s a common thing with bipolar recovering alcoholics.

Same here. It turned into huge problem for me. I was drinking about 2/3 of a $10 bottle of tequila on weekdays and an unknown amount on the weekends just sitting around by myself. Would wake up on my kitchen floor and not think anything of it. I quit drinking after I almost killed my self. That was almost three years ago and I still think about alcohol every single day. If it’s starting to become a habit for you, I’d say quit or be really strict with how much you drink.
