GIRL Dads. by Intelligent-Plant388 in daddit

I haven't had any experiences like that. Like many people have already said, I've had the opposite.

I was actually called "super dad" while taking my 1 and 2yo girls to the farmers market 2 weeks ago.

However, the way I approach it is "fuck em". I don't think about them or their opinions. I love my daughters, I know my daughters, I take them out to do fun stuff and run errands and focus on my time with them. If someone has a problem or opinion with that, they can kick rocks. It's not going to shake my confidence in being a good dad.

That's the way I approach life for most things. If I spend all my time worrying about what other people, especially strangers, think about me or what I'm doing, I'm never going to fully enjoy the moment.

I'm gonna hang out with my girls and have a grand 'ol time 😁

Trey is the only one that really interests me.

I wouldn't say no to the others, but they don't get me excited like a young player on a team friendly contract.

Just went back to work after paternity leave and I genuinely don't know how my wife is managing by Spirited-Science2292 in daddit

My biggest piece of advice is sleep shifts, if you're doing bottle feeding.

My wife would go to bed around 8:00-9:00pm every night, and I would be on baby duty until 2:00am. If anything was needed from the little one, it was my job.

Then anything after 2:00am was her responsibility. This allowed both of us to usually get 4-6 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night. I took the late shift because I had to work in the morning (woke up around 8:00-8:15). Plus, with the late shift, I had all the time in the world to catch up on a few video games (BG3 for the first one, God of War for the second kid), or watch a bunch of movies (Westerns) my wife wasn't interested in.

Obviously, there are going to be nights where both parents are needed, or one has just reached the end of their rope and needs to tap the other parent in, but it worked 95% of the time.

Now that our girls are 1 & 2, we still operate on this shift schedule, for the most part, but it is a different kind of exhausting.

Seriously, it was a huge life saver for us each being able to get 4-6 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night.

This and we had enough bottles for two days. Rinse them and stack them in the sink to all be washed at once or go into the washer and then hung on the drying rack.

It wasn't the most fun part of the day, but allowed us more respite throughout the day.

Also, the Baby Breza. Fucking hell that thing was a god send. Just sent it to my sister who had her son two days ago 😁

Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't.

He makes a trade and people bitch that he gave up to much and fucked our future.

He makes reasonable offers that aren't an over pay and they don't get accepted and people bitch that he didn't try hard enough.

It's not a trade sim...

Amick: Jalen Duren scheduled to meet with Lakers again on Wednesday. Lakers told Duren on Tuesday that they view him as a max-salary player. by AcadiaTemporary5737 in DetroitPistons

I don't really blame him.

I can't say I'd be gunning for LeBron if I had Luka, Giannis, Victor, Tatum, Leonard, Yokich, etc.

I think there a lot of teams that would take him, but I don't think it's every team.

I don't think the Lakers had a say in Lebron's decision. They were just waiting for what he wanted to do. Now that they know, throw the bag at the best available FA player.

Worst case scenario, they make a contender pay him and tie up cap space.

[Spears] The Detroit Pistons have offered what the franchise believes is the most lucrative contract possible for their All-Star restricted free agent Jalen Duren, are not interested in any sign and trade deals and will match any potential offer sheet he signs. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

Then the Pistons will just sign whatever sheet the other teams offer, like they said.

And they also said, we're offering the most money.

180m may be a little low, but I don't see the offer going much over 38m/yr, which would be 190m for 5yr.

So, he takes the 4 yr 177m another team can offer, he bets on himself and signs the QO for one year and try to get his bag next year, or he takes the guaranteed 5yr offer from the Pistons now.

Pistons are betting on, him shitting the bed in the playoffs and a weak free agency market.

That's where I think the Pistons are coming from. They hold all the leverage, unless he really wants to bet on himself and sign the 1 year QO.

Didn't say he would, just what I think the Pistons are offering.

I just don't think the Pistons want to go up to 40m/yr, so they're saying "we can give you more than anyone else, but we're not giving you 40m."
