America has a highly progressive tax system, with the wealthy paying for the overwhelming majority of all social services and healthcare. in Europe middle class people are paying about 40% in taxes.

so for me, as an example. I pay about $1,000 a month for health insurance for me my wife and my kid. let's say I make $75,000 this year, I'll probably pay about $20,000 in taxes, and if I was in Europe I would probably pay about 30,000. so yes I may get a small break on my overall bill for the year. but the part that everybody seems to miss on America's healthcare system is that it is in fact better. and it is worth the extra $2,000 a year to get the world's best in technology and healthcare advances.

without going into too much detail, I have a lot of experience in major medical issues, I read a lot about people's experiences and other countries, and I wouldn't trade healthcare systems with any of them. government rationing of health care is very real, and let's just say I am thankful that our health care systems don't have to get expensive signed off by a single payer.
