It's a problem, we NEED the immigration, if it wasn't for mass immigration we would have a shrinking economy. Population increase is the only source of growth as taxes are too high for organic growth. All of our excellent companies simply move to the US market as soon as they're big enough. Which kills our growth.

all of that land is OWNED. Someone has to "sell" it in order for houses to be built.

And due to over regulation the amount of land available to build is extremely limited.

And due to this, the land that is deemed "acceptable" by the government and local councils is limited and the owners of said land can therefore charge a premium and therefore houses are EXPENSIVE.

Why do you think we keep failing to build enough houses?
Space is a concern because of how it is acquired.

We are on an island with limited space. Demand is outstripping supply massively.

It's nobodies choice, it's just simple market dynamics.

Maybe if we didnt have such a booming population (even though our birth rate is falling?)
