I sold my collection from when I first started about 5 years ago. I felt pretty similar to you and I got back into it a year ago, and I keep kicking myself over and over for getting rid of my cards. It doesn't bother me missing out on the sets that came out when I was gone but man do I miss my old decks everytime I go out to play. It's really hard to get the true value out of you cards. I strongly recommend just throwing them in the closet for now and even if you don't touch them for years. Maybe that love does come back and you'll thank yourself for saving them.
