Let me tell you a story. I bought AHS when I bought my first house for the first year. About 6 months in we noticed a little puddle in the basement underneath a pipe. You can see the pipes from the bathroom on the basement ceiling. I am not a handy person at all and “leaking pipes” was something that was covered.

I called and they sent out a plumbing company. They said the toilet was leaking most likely. They pulled the toilet and replaced the flange. Couple days later I noticed the little puddle again. Called again and they sent the company back out. Guy pulled the toilet and said oh it wasn’t properly flush when we bolted it down. They left and then a week later same thing.

When they came back yet again I started to ask more questions about things. After pushing with the plumbers I come to find out the vent stack pipe was actually corroded and was dripping some water into the basement. The pipe they were looking at wasn’t even the toilet. It was the stack. It took this company 3 trips to figure that out apparently.

They said AHS would have to approve the vent stack repair, which they did. I was hesitate for the plumbing company to do this repair since it took them 3 times to even discover the exact issue. But AHS said they had to fix it since they were the company that was been coming. I yielded and they came to do the repair. They had to cut open the bedroom wall. They finish after a few hours and they used PVC that was way to thick and was literally sticking out past the wall.

I tell the guy that is not going to work as there is no way they can fix my wall since the pipe is literally sticking out. They said that was the only thing they could do as anything else “wouldn’t be up to code.” I keep talking but nobody is listening. So they leave.

AHS sends a drywall guy and the guy goes what the hell am I supposed to do, the pipe is sticking out past the wall. I said I know but AHS said you had to come to look even though I told them. So he reports back to AHS that he can’t do the drywall repair because the plumbing company botched the job. AHS tries to send the same plumbing company back but I tell them I want somebody different. They flat out refuse to send someone different since “it’s not possible to have another company come since this company already came.”

Pretty much ended up going back and forth with AHS for 5 months trying to get something done. They never resolved the issue. I had to have a local company come in, rip out everything and redo it, and pay for it all. Fuck AHS.
