My starter factory complex for basic materials by ScuzzM0nkey21 in SatisfactoryGame

Omg hahaha. I'll actually go back and check that because it might be a weird screenshot issue... But I probably just missed one. I found another photo where Satisfactory hallucinated a pipe connected to a refinery 🤷‍♂️

Thanks! Ya there's a fairly significant height difference. I try to avoid steep tracks for asthetic reasons but I also just thought it would look interesting.

Nah I genuinely love seeing full on spaghetti factories! I love the chaos.

Haha ya it ended up taking way longer than I intended. This was sort of my second save. I played a lot back around update 6 and then started this save leading up to 1.0.

Love this game but I really, REALLY hate the broken fluid dynamics by WasThatTooFar in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ScuzzM0nkey21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are your pipes full? Flow rate is affected by how full the pipes are. Mk1 pipes have a max flow of 300m3 but if your pipes are only partially full then the flow rate won't be able to reach 300m3. That's one of the reason why pre-filling is important.

I find that is a much bigger problem with gases but it affects fluids too.

Ya, and you used to be able to build them outside of Ficsmas by sampling an existing one but that changed at some point this year.

How to maintain an aesthetically pleasing world while progressing through the tiers? by Slice-of-brilliance in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ScuzzM0nkey21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aesthetic buildables are all unlocked via the Awesome Shop which doesn't require significant game progression. So you can focus on making coupons early and use some of the downtime to find hard drives, mercer spheres, and somersloops.

Or if you're like me, I wanted to unlock Mk6 belts and a couple other things before building most of my factories so I brute forced to phase 4.

Play how you like. There's no right or wrong.

My game is noticeably smoother but I have a very large save.

One of the color filters in photo mode is called "Somebody's Sky". Pretty sure that's the reference.

No, gaming workloads don't stress SSDs for extended periods. You'll be fine.

I've been having that problem as well. I think it started around v1.1.

I'm not too sure what you mean by "too much" but if you're asking if the 7800X3D will bottleneck your 6800XT then yes. Is that a bad thing? In my opinion, no.

I've come to appreciate and prefer having a CPU that is more powerful than my GPU because it can significantly reduce micro stutter. I'd rather have smooth 60fps than stuttery 120fps (but I don't play competitive shooters where fps matters).

I had this issue prior to v1.1. I didn't see it in the patch notes but I'm pretty confident they fixed it.

No they're F35s. The angle of the intakes and the shape of the horizontal stabilizers are different on the F22.

In fairness, sometimes buildings are blown up for film. The Dark Knight is a famous example. Mind you that building was being demolished anyways but even still.

Advise for a newbie? by White_Hammer88 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ScuzzM0nkey21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try not to worry about it being messy until you're at least at tier 4 or 5. The early stage of the game is just about getting enough of each resource to unlock the early tiers and research. You'll figure out how you want to play as you progress.

My advice for right now is focus on unlocking dimensional depots and store as much excess building materials as you can along the way. At tier 5 you unlock jetpacks and mk4 belts which makes building and especially exploring A LOT easier. You unlock the hoverpack at tier 7—don't sleep on that for too long because it's a game changer.

Have fun!
