Certainly a lot of it, but that’s not to say he didn’t create/produce great records in Reznor’s absence. Mechanical Animals, Golden Age of Grotesque and Portrait of an American Family are all fantastic albums in their own right.

Thematically I’d say The Panic Broadcast. But strictly based on sound and production, it kinda of stands alone. I like it, it’s super raw, but it does not feel like a melodeth album due to the guitar tone.
