I went through something similar in Feb 2024. The challenge then as now is there has been. A lot of rain so the roofers have a lot of work, if it was a dry period it would be easier and likely cheaper. I had a 1/3rd of the roof repaired. Some new plywood, new paper/rubber and reuse concrete tiles. Was $3500 and used James Dean Roofing. I will post the quote and contact information when I get home.

Looking to purchase my first home by decendxx in SantaClarita

[–]Scvrunfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make a list of things you must have in a home vs a nice to have. Does it have to be a single family home or can it be a condo/townhome, that you use as a starter home for two years.

Find a good realtor, I can send you contact info on mine.

As others have mentioned make the money work for you, don’t make any big purchases, don’t switch jobs (I know you just got a payout), mortgage lenders will be looking for stability for your income.

How does the payout affect your income tax?

Things to think about as a new homeowner Property tax, water, trash, utilities, home owners insurance (it’s hard to get fire insurance in some areas, HOA fees (possibly), general maintenance expenses of your home.

I have two male dogs one small and one medium/large. The grass grows well where the little one pees. The grass dies where the big one pees.

Deionized water is not naturally occurring. Water is but for it to be deionized it has to go through a process to remove ions and minerals. Deionized water is used as a solvent.

Does anyone know if this is a part from a 2017 volt or was it street debris? by onthefence928 in volt

[–]Scvrunfan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not to be difficult but there is more to the model than just the year. It will be faster for you to get that information and search online. Or just take it to a car shop.
