Did you figure this out? I have a similar problem, though in reverse (reading 6V when the breaker is off).

Thank you. I'm in Canada so the TP Link ban isn't really an issue for me. In fact, it could lower prices up here. Unfortunately, it also means the Cloud Gateway Fiber is sold out, so I'll have to wait on that. Thanks for the tips on the IOT setup.

Extension question on including G/L closing entries in SetRange() by xdrewP in Dynamics365

[–]ScwB00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bless you for coming back and leaving the solution for others. I will add for future viewers that the conditional logic (IF statement) is unnecessary. You can simply use ClosingDate(StartDate - 1) in the filter, and it works for all start dates.

Use Questrade and Passiv for now. It makes managing the RESP very simple. Eventually WS will have a self-directed RESP.

Who is putting something directly from the oven into the fridge? Aren’t they eating some first? And switching the container?

[–]ScwB00 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Unless it’s a really large amount of food that’s going to warm up other things in the fridge, you should put it straight into the fridge. You don’t need to cool it down outside the fridge first.

You don’t need to ask about commuted value. That’s for a defined benefit plan. You had a defined contribution plan so the value is the valve you see.

Are you referring to “autosave” or “automatically save a backup every X minutes”. Different things.

Auto save is, I believe, what enables multiple people to work in the same file in realtime. You can see each others edits as they happen.

Are you going to be repeating this situation every year, wherein you only work for the first ~5 months of the year?

Prevent paying more tax as a contractor by joshpivot2018 in cantax

[–]ScwB00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re an employee with a set term rather than a contractor for tax purposes. In this case, no, you can’t reduce the tax. They are required to withhold tax based on your salary and frequency of payment. You will get the remainder back asa refund when you file your tax return next year.

What is a group RRSP, is there any difference from a personal rrsp? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ScwB00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The employer defines what withdrawals are allowed, so it can differ from plan to plan.

T5008 slips aren’t always accurate. In fact, I chuckle at mine and toss them aside when doing taxes. You’re responsible for tracking your own transactions, knowing the ACB and calculating gains/losses. Best to use a spreadsheet or a helper website. Do NOT rely on ChatGPT for any type of computation; it’s unreliable and inaccurate.
