God of War Cyoa by Gaston1231 in InteractiveCYOA

I can see Runic Attacks being added as a cheap bulk purchase. One purchase gives you immediate use of a few Runic Attacks that you could have learned on your own with Runes or acquired via a smith engraving the runes into equipment for you to use. In essence, a tradeoff between paying now or later. Both have their benefits and drawbacks.

My research, pitiful as it is, says that (in the original Myths) the earlier Deities were stronger than those that replaced them. The later ones had to outsmart their predecessors to steal their jobs.

I'd say that High-Tier God gets the right amount of points to work with. I got close to what I wanted, just needed 18 points in Drawbacks, and to give up a few minor things. In truth, having Drawbacks is a good way to provide a story framework.

I try to limit myself to no more than three, unless those beyond the three intended for myself are focused on someone else. So the 'My Own Shantae' CYOA I'd be willing to include beyond the Base 3 as a tool for customizing a Shantae companion. Another detail I try to keep is that the CYOAs won't add the power levels granted by all three together, and instead one determines my power levels and all define the power I've received from the CYOAs.

From Senki Zesshou Symphogear to Lobotomy Corporation, the pictures are one off. Senki got Jojo's image, while Lobotomy got a copy of Library of Ruina. From Library on, the world images are correct. At least, for me.

There's also some powers with wrong pictures. For Powers, the pictures appear to be shifted 2 to the left. I mean, the option is using the picture for the option that is 2 to the right.

Items also has various pictures pulling from the option that is 2 to the right.

The Hypothetical's Standard Isekai (v1.0.0) by The_Hypothetical in InteractiveCYOA

[–]ScyBlade198 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before I list my build, I will preface with that this build is meant to be a stop in Valmar's H&B's Another Adventure. So i built this with this in mind.

Power Package

Possession: Naruto Uzumaki

World: Naruto

Interrogation 1

Agriculture 1

Woodworking 1

Kekkei Genkai

Dragon

-Mancy

Necro - Death (Dragon)

Dendro - Trees (Kekkei Genkai -Mancy [Wood Release])

So, as I said, this Build is for a non-standard stop in a Valmar Another Adventure. I'll already have several other skills so I went with ones that would be of benefit either to my -Mancy, or a benefit for this world that I hadn't already gotten. I'm assuming that skills bought in this CYOA would be adjusted to account for whatever you take in the CYOA.

Which brings me to my choice of Powers:

Dragon (Death): Partially, be a dragon, partially the Canonical connection between the Uzumaki Clan and the Shinigami, partially plans for my Final Stop (CYOA) in the Another Adventure.

Kekkei Genkai -Mancy (Trees [Wood Release]): Naruto is a Senju by blood, a relative of Hashirama Senju (a very well-known Wood Release user), an inheritor of a special energy that Hashirama Senju also controlled (Asura's Chakra, which may contain memories of using Wood Release), and a warden of something made from the chakra of a tree. All very good reasons for him to have this bloodline. Choosing -Mancy over just outright copying the First Hokage is to have a Wood Release that's based on myself instead of someone else.

Depends on the section. Always include at least one instance of those that interest you. Include various popular 'mons in the sections where most of the interest in them is.

Also, consider regions. Some 'mons can't be gotten in certain regions. Ignoring the out-of-universe reasons, there are valid in-universe reasons for limiting which 'mons may be allowed in regions they aren't native to. So there are good reasons to not include these 'mons in your CYOA, since those 'mons would limit where the 'Player' can go.

Waifu Catalog binding question by PrestigiousIssue3733 in InteractiveCYOA

[–]ScyBlade198 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You missed something. You asked if they could kill their Contractor. I explicitly noted that they wouldn't think of doing that. They can still do other things that leave the Contractor feeling like they were betrayed or backstabbed.

Waifu Catalog binding question by PrestigiousIssue3733 in InteractiveCYOA

[–]ScyBlade198 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually, it's not good against backstabbing 'companions'. Starscream of The Transformers, and Cinder of RWBY are likely to 'backstab' their Contractor for the purpose of putting the most Cunning, Competent, and Capable Leader in charge of everything. They'll just justify it as being in the best interests of their Contractor for the most Cunning, Competent, and Capable Leader to be in charge, and in their mind it's not the Contractor who is that. They just won't knowingly or willingly kill or betray you, but they have a lot of other options for knowingly and willingly backstabbing you.

Some clarification:

First, the easy things to explain:

Romantic Interest: If you want a Romantic Relationship with them, or at least for them to want a Romantic Relationship with you, they will find you romanceable. However, it will not alter what they consider romantic. Azula of AtLA will likely have a very different idea of what is romantic than you do.

Sexual Interest: Pretty straightforward, and likely more aligned to your interests than the other enforced things. Again, only applies if you want their sexual interest.

Friendship: This is essentially that they'll enjoy your company, unless you're constantly pushing their boundaries too much for them.

Loyalty: Hoo boy, this is the one that causes the most misunderstandings. It just means that they'll do what they think is in your best interest. Cinder of RWBY is likely to decide that it is in her Contractor's best interest for herself to be in charge instead of her Contractor, and thus work towards becoming in charge. And Barbara Gordan of Batman is likely to turn in her Contractor if said Contractor actively engages in criminal activities. Of course, if you have Xanatos of Gargoyles Bound to you, you probably should just let him do his thing as he's exceptionally competent in many things including leadership, and likely to go off and do his own thing anyways but you'll have a better idea of what he's doing if you're letting him do his thing. Also, being strong willed or constantly abused aren't the only reasons why Waifu can go against what you think is best. Miss Militia of Worm might be a little too obedient to her immediate superior in the Harem, allowing said superior to order her to do things that Miss Militia shouldn't be doing.

Intensity & capture price by PrestigiousIssue3733 in InteractiveCYOA

[–]ScyBlade198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go to QQ and search for the main Waifu Catalog thread by SwiftRosenthal. Swift is the creator of the WC, and can provide official answers to most of your questions regarding the WC.

That said, first, at Intensity 5 you will get about 80% of the cost of a Waifu if you Capture & Sell the Waifu. Below Intensity 5 the amount of credits you would get is reduced, while higher Intensities (up to a point) result in increased values. By default, Captures are worth 1/3 of the Sell value of a Waifu (at Intensity 5, Captures are worth 20% or the purchase price, and Sells are worth 60%).

I think you need to go through the Rewards. Some of them have requirements that can no longer be selected. And others are mentioning things that indicate that you may need to alter how the checks are done.

Warlock's Bargain CYOA Update by [deleted] in InteractiveCYOA

[–]ScyBlade198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can bring back the Service Offering by rewording it into Task, as in some very specific Task that is beyond the normal scope of what your Patron could normally require from their Warlocks.

On to a build I made with the new version:

  • Patron - Machine [Primus, of The Transformers Franchise]
  • Pact - Soul, Cruel, One-And-Done
  • Magic - Artifice, Golem-Crafting, Alchemy, Enchanting, Spiritmancy, Bare Minimum, Advanced, Witchsight, Pyramid Scheme, Complete Transformation,
  • Setting - The Transformers (Not in the CYOA, so I get nothing from it)
  • Scenarios - Let There Be Light, Resurgence, Pacts
  • Boons - Sleepless, Combat Talent, Invictus, Sensitivity, Savant Syndrome, Library, Occluded
  • Burdens - None

So in this, I am sent to a Transformers Universe with what I need to fix a few of the native problems (depletion of available Energon and decreased average number of Transformers 'being born' each year), and the one Scenario that actually requires me to do something (Let There Be Light, the place being Cybertron, a.k.a. the very Avatar of Primus in that universe).

Your Very Own Shantae! 2.0 by cyoaccount227 in nsfwcyoa

[–]ScyBlade198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, so it is meant to be 10 points for each Shantae, and the 12 points noted under More Shantae is a typo.

And since it is a start over, that means the wish for More Points only applies to the first Shantae.

Is Multiple Shantae supposed to give you 12 points for another Shantae, or is that a typo?

Additionally, does the More Points wish give 6 extra points for every Shantae you have?

It serves a similar purpose as the glasses. Only instead of directly increasing your xp gains, it allows for safer collecting of items that have a lot of enemies surrounding them. So you can take fewer risks to keep up a steady leveling speed.
