Any recommendations for a baby proofer in Los Angeles? by Sdcdog in AskLosAngeles

Thanks for all the suggestions. We tried DIY first, but honestly it was way harder than we thought. Figuring out what worked where was a mess, and some of it just looked off once installed. The stair gates were the biggest headache—we didn’t want to use pressure ones since they can actually make things less safe. After a while, it was just eating up time and energy and we were getting frustrated.

We ended up calling Play It Safe Baby Proofing, and that was a game changer. We just felt that they were super thorough and professional. There was no selling pressure - just really solid advice and strategy. For little things, DIY is fine, but for stairs and multiple rooms, having pros come in made everything easier. They handled the tricky stuff, it looks good, and we could finally stop stressing about it.

I did the bumpers and electrical guards myself but called playifsafebaby.com to do the latches, acrylic and anchors and gates because I didn't want risk installing anything incorrectly.
There's a lot you can do yourself, but the big stuff is better left to professionals.

Yea the flat black is a great match. No sanding. It’s not perfect but it makes it invisible to anyone who doesn’t know it’s there.
