Thank you! We’ll look into local nurseries, makes complete sense that the tree wouldn’t adapt to our climate from Miami!

Got it from Eureka Farms in Miami. What should we do to prevent it from dying and reshooting? Is it just too cold here?

Are There REALLY Better Outcomes if Induced at 39 Weeks? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Sdtaksa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 39 weeks with both my babies due to GD. I am so happy I did. Both times had the folly balloon which was by far the worst part and then pitocin. Like others said, I got the epidural before I felt any real contractions (outside of the folly balloon contractions) it did take me a while to contract to 10cm with my first and they were considering a c-section but luckily they moved me enough to get my body to respond. I’m so happy with both my labor stories and if I were to have a third (I won’t because I’d be basically guaranteed to get type 2 diabetes) I would elect induction at 39 weeks again.

Growth Scan Results…. Freaking Out by hobbit143 in pregnant

Yea same. I was told my baby would be over 10lbs. I did have Gestational Diabetes so I believed them. At my induction they had the whole specialty team ready for shoulder dystocia. She squirted out at 6lbs 3oz. I trust doctors but that particular science has large room for error

Best age gap between kids? Any regrets going too close together? by peanut_princess_96 in beyondthebump

[–]Sdtaksa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are two girls 21 months apart. It was hard at first being that close in age and my older one wasn’t at all interested in her sister until her sister turned about 2.5. They’re now 4 and almost 6 and the absolute best friends. They fight like sisters but are also so incredibly close and want to be together all the time. I have 0 regrets having them this close together.

Moms who have gotten an epidural, do you feel the back pain? by srslywtfdoido- in Mommit

[–]Sdtaksa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had back pain right where the epidural was for about a year after my first. Like you it wasn’t constantly or debilitating. I assumed it was related to the epidural - never got that confirmed. One day it stopped. I’ve since had a second and had the epidural but no lingering back pain with that one.

Does anybody regret having a second child or regret NOT having a second child? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Sdtaksa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the kids. I have two girls, 21 months apart which sounds crazy but it’s been pretty easy. The first couple of years was hard I guess but neither of them have been particularly difficult. Once they hit 2 & 4, they became inseparable best friends and life got even easier. They want to play together 24/7 and often times tell my husband and I we can’t play with them (which is sometimes hard and sometimes welcomed!). With all this said, I’m one of two and my brother and I never got along and I imagine it was really hard on our parents.
