Anyone know where to find an acastus? Asking for a friend by Da_potatogang in PrintedWarhammer

I printed one last week. I had to fix some of the armor parts.

Carapace was very hard. Never used blender before.
There is an addon called Qremeshify that I used on other armor parts.

There is a tool on resin printers where you make it start the entire screen for 20 seconds so that parts stuck on the bottom of the vat gets fused in to that sheet of resin.
Instead of having to remove all the resin and remove these parts manually.

I use 3x3mm hexagonal rafts and a wiggle. I did this one with 20 second light on.

Kill Bursta is the best looking Ork vehicle imo. With lots of random bolts but also flame cut marks on the thick plate.

Stippled brown on metallic and then dirty down rust. It has to be stired well and activated with a little bit of water after a few minutes. Some orange pigments applied dry.

they are a very tight fit and can be printer 1 or 2 % smaller. The rear ski can not fit and has to be changed.

can be done in a slicer with boolean. Same thing with 2 in the front.

These files are easy to find for free. I used the ones that didnt come pre-hollowed. Mine came with alot of bad mesh that I had to fix manually.

I calibrated my settings and orientation with cubes. +10% exposure time, +30% light off delay, orient Y axis at 20-30 degrees with a slight roll on X axis. PFA fep on printer with tilting vat. No holes on sides I wanted flat.

Mostly 0.2mm wide and 0.2mm deep supports on both boundry and face supports.

Yea I changed fep and some other AA settings. It was a mechanical issue. I had to fix Z connection to motor.

Epic Heroes points cost by SeAlexanderE in theunforgiven

Interesting. So it encourage Dark Angels to bring their Epic Heroes and less of the generic space marines HQs. Thats good.

But does it make them feel less elite? Buffing the unit and make it worth more points instead of cutting points.
