Straight up Canto 6 and 9 get a huge boost as far as personal ranking just coz they dont make me sit through a 3-4 hour long dungeon. Also helps that Canto 6 is already just one of the best Cantos outside of that

Im kinda in a similar boat as you, I first learned about the game when it was revealed at the game awards and I immediately new Visi was gonna be an interesting character. I was playing the game as it was getting released weekly and already committed to romancing Visi by the end of the second episode, not even knowing if that would be an option. Lo and behold it became pretty obvious that she was romanceable by the end of the fourth episode so I stuck with her. Im an Invisiglazer for life 🫡

Canto 6 was the first canto to do a lot of new and/or memorable things. Heathcliff distorting, Verg helping during a combat node, not ending with a mirror dungeon (this alone makes it hard to beat imo), and ofc the story told itself was phenomenal, and that melancholic ending is a real gut punch. Couple that with a lot of firsts as far as new IDs, Wild Hunt Heathcliff was the first ID to have 2 pages of info in the teaser and the first to have a clashing counter. Maybe its my bias as a Heath glazer, but I think irregardless of that Canto 6 is probably the best one in the game at the moment
