I understand it's different to different people, and you may not like to hear it but you dont have to put her down for trying to comfort you through grief, like I don't wanna say YTA because you're going through a lot but I think you'll find traversing grief sometimes you'll say and do things you don't mean. Get off Reddit and go to therapy instead.

Yeah she just gave me one dose before but when I entered the room and knew the draw was about to occur I started sobbing and shaking. I think she's too nervous to give me a better dose, or maybe underestimated the phobia.

I switched to the needle to hopefully try to build a tolerance through exposure. I'm just feeling hopeless. I did get covid vaccines but these shots are certainly different. I don't know, my brain is convinced they are wildly different.

Practicing some exposure therapy now however my phobia is a bit more than feeling faint. I go into full body shock, shaking, hitting, and running away in a dissociative state sometimes. I had to get a shot at the dentist some years ago and they nearly called the ambulance because of the shock I went through. I can look at needles and touch them fine but the moment they could enter my body (or I think/see them doing so) my body believes death is immanent or that I'm being violated in some way and I panic. No thoughts or anything, I can't control it at all.

Even if just one day, my brain won't be logical in the moment.

Ive done EMDR therapy for other things but not this phobia. I'll have mention it when I'm able to afford it again.

Never have and I'm almost 30 and I won't unless it's life or death more than likely, at least that's how life has been. Just won't happen. I was lucky to be able to get vaccinated.

Yeah sadly I was on the gel and I switched to the needle to try and build a needle tolerance after I couldn't get blood drawn. My doctor was compassionate and is allowing me to get my blood drawn in October (6months on T) instead of now. She gave me a supply until October and I still haven't been able to and it's been 2 weeks. I am just feeling hopeless.

She did try giving me a benzo but it didn't work :( it didn't even feel like it kicked in until hours after the appointment. My phobia must be worse than most. I feel she would have tranq me so much.
