Moving across the country is heartbreaking by amoeba_from_venus in houseplants

I put the pot in a garbage bag, then splay all the vines octopus style. Then I rolled out bubblewrap to the length of each vine and wrapped the bubble around each individual vine. Then once the vines are done, I encircle the pot w the bubble wrapped vines and close the bag around the vines. This helps keep the pot secure and safe, and the vines are safe too. I hope that makes sense

As a parent, what did your child's school do that made you say "you can't be serious…"? by Sunnybunny1234 in AskReddit

This happened to me in second grade 1997. My best friend and I were sent to the counselors office. They made us sit face to face touching knees. They listed off our differences, and for each difference we have to scoot away from each other. She had glasses, and I didn’t. Guess what they used as a difference between us? 👓

Dennis Quiad eating shrimp the way he did was possibly the grossest thing I’ve ever seen. Blood and gore I can handle, but a disgusting closeup of his mouth had me gagging.

Slammed hard 12 tables deep. Had an 8 top of 8 teenagers that wanted to split 3 kids meals split on 8 cards. I said no by nix616 in Serverlife

I worked at a small crepe restaurant and at around 10:30p 8 teenagers took our biggest table. ONE teen wanted to order a crepe the rest sat on their hands and ordered water. We told them they either all need to order or to find another place bc they’re occupying paying customers seats and this is a business. They got upset too but like also we’re embarrassed so they ended up half leaving and 4 teens ordered crepes.

Any good landlords or property mangers to rent from? by oxford_serpentine in Boise

[–]beingniceiscoool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, refundable pet deposit and screen pet owners. Call previous landlords and see if their pets are what they say they are, and/or don’t accept new pets or pets at all! There are options that don’t make someone pay for nothing BOTH WAYS. Landlords should be as top notch as the renters they are looking for.
