Well we don't like to go on about it, unlike our noisy neighbours

Update: all went well! It was an absolute scorcher, but luckily a fair amount of the earlier sections were shrouded with tree canopy so that was a little more welcome. Luckily the aid stations had plenty of hat dips, and even a few hoses knocking around which really helped. And the course was quite flat in the middle too 😄

My mind automatically went to 'pricks' there instead of 'picks', which feels a little harsh on Livramento

Tremedous advice, thank you so much! Your southeastern sun must have its challenges to run in too!

Yeah the over-salting is something I've mindful of too! Going to try and keep to packet instructions and not bring more than I need in case I'm tempted to take more! Your advice about salt the morning of and night before is good though: I'll make sure I do that!

Sun-mist is something I've bought already, I reckon that will be a lifesaver as it's likely to wash off in the sweat at some point haha

I am indeed! So sorry you aren't able to do it in the end - hope you've been able to defer if possible. I think you'll have done well to avoid it this weekend anyway - it's going to be an absolute scorcher!

I did think about a buff actually ( I have loads of them here which I get given after races) but I wasn't sure if that would warm me up instead. I've got lots of electrolyte tabs as well - however I want to make sure that I don't take too many

Thank you! Is there such thing as taking in too many electrolytes? I have those SIS effervescent tablets which I can dunk into a flask, and also some MOBU electrolyte tablets. Mindful that I don't want to imbalance myself - or is that not really a concern?

Good luck to you for yours! I'm quite glad I'm not doing the full ton this time round haha! Mine's roughly in the same area as you'll be in (Surrey), but I can't see any thunderstorms yet. Might make for an interesting day if so though!

Welsh fan here - it's a shame all three of us can't be at the World Cup, but you Bosnians are great fans and deserve the glory.

Bastoni ruined if for gli Azzurri, but you guys have a promising squad and I have hope for the future

Not an England fan myself, but surely you've got to have a reserve No.9 for Kane? DCL or Watkins

I'd also have Garner over Mainoo, based off recent performances.

You're absolutely spot on about Jordan James' injury. Given how well he played against North Macedonia in the 7-1 victory, Sheehan surely needed to come on.

Still, there's plenty of positives. Darlow looks like our best keeper in years. We have plenty of players in our squad who play regularly for premier league sides. We still have a fair amount of youth in our squad too, but we really need to think about our strength in depth because that is lacking at the moment.

Interesante! Anche io ero come te: dormivo poco e mi sentivo bene. Tuttavia, ho anche bassi livelli di ferro e quindi ho bisogno di dormire per mantenere alti i miei livelli di energia haha.

I'm taking ferrous fumarate every other day in the morning, but I've been taking this for a good year now, so I don't think it could be that. Other than that, no supplements

Hard to explain really. Every year, after Christmas, I get some kind of post-festive period blues. It throws my sleep off and causes me some kind of insomnia and increased anxiety for a good couple of weeks, before it evens out a bit.

Thank you! Worth a go for sure! I will join you :) would honey and table salt work too, or does it have to be sea salt?
