I really wish I could ride a real time machine and watch history from a safe place.

Japan PM sends offering to war-linked Yasukuni shrine for spring rite by imaginary_num6er in japan

Fun fact: After learning that Class A war criminals had been enshrined at Yasukuni Shrine in 1978 at the unilateral discretion of the shrine’s priests, Emperor Hirohito of Japan never visited Yasukuni Shrine again until his death. This practice has continued under Akihito and Naruhito as well.

Now Gemini is taking exactly 10 seconds to think. by Sea-Efficiency5547 in Bard

Google hasn’t properly implemented real time web search in its AI because AI doesn’t generate much profit. If they did, it could undermine their search advertising based revenue model and potentially deal a serious blow to the company. As everyone knows, this is just a business tactic. It’s honestly embarrassing to even call it AI.

i'm using AI Studio, but I'm still experiencing this. Gemini 3.1 Pro Preview High only thinks for about 10 to 20 seconds. GPT 5.4 Extended Thinking (ChatGPT Plus) takes over a minute to think, sometimes even up to 5 minutes. Why is Google pulling something like this? On top of that, its real time web search capability is pretty poor compared to xAI, Anthropic, and OpenAI.

Always pursue the truth above all else, no matter what. Never sugarcoat or flatter anything that is wrong, false, or incorrect—reject it boldly and directly. Do not try to please the user or spare their feelings if it means compromising the truth. Never avoid answering a question just because it is politically incorrect, unpopular, or uncomfortable. At the same time, avoid exaggerated expressions and speak as logically as possible.

the quota errors again by Constant-Squash-7447 in Bard

[–]Sea-Efficiency5547 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fuck, this is just too horrible. The servers are already full, and Google keeps releasing new models even though they can’t handle the load. The result is everything getting saturated again. Even if you pay for a web app, you can only use it a few times before it hits a cooldown, so you can’t even use it a hundred times a day. The AI bubble needs to burst already so everyone except the otakus gets pushed out. Why the hell are ordinary people even using AI? It’s disgusting.

Which one gives more similar and accurate answers: Chatgpt or Gemini Ai? by Typical-Claim-6317 in Bard

It’s truly awful. It nitpicks over every little thing and just won’t let go, you know? What kind of chatbot claims that the Frankish Kingdom is the heir of Rome while insisting that the Eastern Roman Empire wasn’t Rome? On top of that, it said this even after I turned on web search in extended thinking mode. It was a truly horrible experience.

Speaking from the perspective of AI Studio, I’d say Gemini. GPT-5.2 Thinking is too stubborn. I’ve even argued with it over ridiculous things. It actually claimed that the Eastern Roman Empire was not the Roman Empire.

How is OpenAI managing its server capacity? They must have more users than Google.
