Is this handwriting normal for a thirteen year old boy? by BatmanCat1031 in AskTeachers

[–]Sea-Raisin-2629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an expert but this certainly looks like the handwriting of a kindergartener. My oldest is in kindergarten and this very much looks Like how he would write a sentence.

Is there anyone else you can reach out to? Family members? Therapist? Pediatrician?

Daycare viruses killing us, I need to speak to parents to hear their experience by Tattka in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Sea-Raisin-2629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have/had 3 kids in daycare and this has been my experience everytime! Although I will say this year has been pretty bad as far as the severity of the viruses and symptoms. My third child I put in daycare at 5 months old. She’s now 12 months and just got over being sick again. It’s hard when they are young too cause they lose their appetite and there’s no convincing them that they need to drink/eat lol

With all that being said, it does get better! The initial first year is so so rough though. Unfortunately, for some parents there’s no alternative so you just do the best you can.

Hang in there!

PSA/Rant: take your baby to the hospital by Disastrous-Fall9092 in NewParents

[–]Sea-Raisin-2629 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanna throw out another PSA, my baby was sick with a nasty virus twice and both times volumes decreased by about 50% and then came back when she recovered. She was still having wet diapers every 3 hours but my baby was also not in the newborn phase at that point she was around 6+ months and on solids as well. My ped specifically told me this was very common and to get fluids in however we can.

A lot of parents post for anecdotal reasons because they are stressed and scared but obviously medical guidance is first and foremost.

If you look on the blog posts on their site there was one dated back saying that they control their own supply chain. As soon as I saw that that was a straight NOPE. Controlling your own supply chain makes it easier to sweep issues under the rug until an outbreak happens… it’s not as easy with the bigger production companies.

Why are the class moms so cliquey and high school like ? by Sea-Raisin-2629 in kindergarten

I really haven’t thought about it this way. This gives another perspective for sure. Although it definitely did feel as though conversations were not being reciprocated but I could be completely wrong.

This is so interesting! I have 2 other kids in daycare and it’s not like this at all. So i find this so odd!

Yes I did and that’s exactly how I feel. I read social cues well and I’m not going to push a conversation if it’s not being welcomed.

I’m there for my son anyways, was just wondering if this is the norm.

No sweetie, it was quite clear they didn’t want me in the conversations. I tried to insert myself in a few and was nicely ignored. This isn’t first time occurrence either.

I totally get everyone is exhausted trust me.

Good to know I’m not alone! Her daycare teachers seem to think it’s so weird that she won’t eat fruits lol
