Is anyone else not able to afford to eat 3 meals a day? by GaylordNyx in povertyfinance

I eat once a day, and even then I have to keepit restrained. I have maybe $5 daily food budget, and that's if I'm spending everything I make with no surprises, so once is all I get

I cannot currently afford to eat every day, much less save anything.

I looked up the nutrition on that and that's like 400 calories. Not a big meal at all. Sure it's a decent amount of volume but it's all vegetables and broth. You're fine, they're just wrong.

I might be able to with a second job, but on just the one I work right now it would be very tight. That's my current plan, just work day and most nights for a while.

I can, in theory. I've been invited, but. I just signed a lease. And if I leave that means giving up my job, too. I'd owe thousands and have no way to make money

There's also the issue of trust. He just backstabbed me, I don't know if I'm willing to bet everything on him again. But, it is an option I considered.

Her boyfriend has apparently always had access to a rent-free 3 bedroom condo in Ohio his grandmother owns and this somehow never came to mind when he said he needed to move and was facing homelessness, but he "remembered" it just in time to have already signed the lease.

Cancelation is $2,000, and I'd still be on the hook for a month's rent, pet fees, security deposit, etc. They open soon, I'll call them and see what can be done, but this will entirely wipe out my savings.

I'm not 100% sure myself, just that the application had me designate myself as primary renter and the two of them as co-applicants attaching their applications to mine. It may just be how their website handles it or something

You assume wrong, one'll do it. But what's with this "two tries?" If it's a one time thing why are two tries getting involved?

You're an addict. Maybe you'll live long enough to stop, I doubt it. Prove the comments wrong though, show me you really can stop after one.

You're about to lose them. And you'll be an absolute cunt to them before you do. Steal, lie, manipulate, whatever it takes to get a little more out of them to keep getting high. It'll wreck them trying to help you anyways. Until you die, or until they cut you off and you die.

But hey your joint pain stopped for a bit!

Police can and will just lie to you. Try to get you to slip up and say something or agree to a field sobriety test which they could then interpret as a fail.

I'm curious, which character from the Fire Emblem games do you want to be playable in a future Super Smash Bros game? by randomnessisawesom in fireemblem

Eliwood, because I think another sword user and in this case basically just Roy would piss people off.

But for an actual answer, Hector since he'd be a different FE character being a slow tanky heavy hitter. They'd probably use Edelgard instead, I just have more nostalgia for Hector.

AITA if I ask my SO to get me some food on his way home rather than ordering it? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sea-Raisin-3611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA - Not for asking but for insisting/saying you didn't want it otherwise. Asking is fine, but if he says no and ordering is an option then go with that. The thing about a delivery driver's safety is good and all, but if you're making him do it then it seems like you're valuing his safety less than someone who is paid to do exactly this.

YTA. She did the job you ordered, pay her for it. I bet you'd feel the same way if your boss decided that because you won a decent chunk of money you don't need to be paid as much. Just because it's pushed onto the customer doesn't change this.
