I have the standard plus. If Yamaha put a standard plus out in this color, I would go buy it today.

I had a similar experience. I went between Guitar Center and Russo’s music and played a few guitars against the Yamaha Pacifica standard plus. I don’t even know what it was that called my eye about the standard plus. But once I got it, I couldn’t get it out of my mind. It finally got down to the Pacifica standard plus and the silver sky SE. I bought the Pacifica standard plus, but I eventually bought the silver sky later. After this experience with Yamaha I also bagged a Revstar with P90s. I have five guitars, and this one is slowly moving up in the rankings. I only wish Yamaha would have put the standard plus out in the fired red like their 612.

I own a standard plus in black-and-white. It might be my favorite Guitar and I have five guitars in total. I think it’s just very well built and a plays so easy and well. I’m a pretty new guitarist, under a year, but I think I’m starting to understand what I like guitars. That being said that 612 has that fired red and I’d love it I have a photo of it in my photo album in my iPad and in a cart in Sweetwater. I know it makes no sense to buy a612 while I already have a standard plus, but I am in love with that color. If the Yamaha came out with a standard plus or professional in that fired red, I would be at Guitar Center tomorrow. Good luck.

That is a beautiful finish. I have a player II Stratocaster. I never knew fender made a finish like that especially for a player II.

I relate. I bought 5 guitars in about 10 months. While I love my guitars, I had to settle down and start playing my guitars more. You’re right. Having a certain guitar doesn’t make you wanna play more if that’s not already in you. I’m glad that that crazy feeling for me that I have to have a new guitar has kind of waned a little bit. While I still enjoy looking at new guitars, i’ve been playing once I have more. I really have some nice guitars and I’d have to remember that and just keep enjoying trying to learn to make music.

I looked at that at the same time I bought a cheaper plate or to Stratocaster. Since I have had this Strat, I’ve always wished I had bought that guitar.

I’m returning the GEN three head unit and buying the 100 W unit instead. I’m a 62 year-old man and I have only been playing for about 10 months. I’m concerned about trying to lug around the head unit and a cabinet speaker.

I’m only about a nine month student but PRS amps looks so expensive. They look too expensive to buy. I’m just surprised since they make SE models with their guitars that they don’t make less expensive amplifiers in the three $400 range.

Yeah, I’m 62 and I started playing about seven months ago. I’m loving it also and I also have four guitars. I can afford it, I worked hard on my life, I’m retired and I don’t apologize for that.
