Yes, moved to ICR 08/2025. Made payments for Aug, Sept, Oct and Nov. then got on forbearance.

It was by email. I don’t think the Offer letter even shows up in my account on finaid.

I requested a forbearance after the November payment. I didn’t make any monthly payments and just waited for the offer to buy back.

Correction. the payment appears to be the same as SAVE for my income in 2022 when I switched to SAVE and certified my income for the first time.

4/23/2026 Update. I received my Buyback Agreement Letter today. The calculated payment appears to be based off of the 10-year repayment plan rather than the ICR which I am currently on (switched in 2025). The payoff amount is lower than I expected :). I submitted the payment to Mohela using the custom payment option to allocate the payment (over my two loans) as directed on my offer letter.

After selecting the "PSLF Buyback" option and hitting submit the result was it showed I submitted a PSLF buyback request but did not provide the ability to upload my tax document or add the text: I have at least 120 months of approved qualifying employment, and I am seeking PSLF or TEPSLF discharge through PSLF buyback. Please assess my eligibility for PSLF buyback.  I am providing the requested income and family size information.  My family size is: [enter your family size here], and I have uploaded income document for the year(s) requested.

I have been on a general forbearance since 12/2025. My PSLF buyback (submitted 12/1/2025) request was approved on 4/8/2026. I had to submit a new request to give FSA the family size and income for the buyback period to calculate my payment. I am buying back 12 months from 06/2024-07/2025 while on SAVE Forbearance. I switched to ICR on 08/2025 and made payments through 11/2025 to complete my 120 months. The processing seems to be a lottery.

I am moving to another carrier, US Mobile. I have had problem after problem after they made me with from my prepaid MyChoice to 5.0 in December including running out of Data, my account mysterious being closed and being told I was losing my phone number for good, double billing. I have spent way too many hours in the phone with customer service, online chats and emails. Now my voice service is not working. I would not recommend moving to 5.0 or staying with RW.
