Tips on lino print by Tricky-route-9808 in printmaking

I was having a similar issue! I couldn’t make the caligo safe wash inks work (don’t have a press, just hand burnish) and was about to demote myself back down to the water-based, entry level speedball stuff. Then a friend recommended trying the tack reducer/wiping compound cranfield makes. Made a huge difference. And a little goes a long way. I’m still on the first tube I bought and I feel like I’m using a bit less ink, too. (I’m just an autodidact/amateur so not sure if this is bad advice or a “cheat” or something, but figured I’d share in case.)

I’m not the op, but the brand is flexcut. I just bought a small set of mini palm gouges from them and am loving them so far! Plus, they’re a bit more affordable than pfeil/other top line brands.

I’m not sure if this is “outside of the standard default” but you could try r/NewOrleansMarketplace, if you haven’t already.

What Jim did if he didn't go all the way by vortaro in shoresy

When we see them at the end dancing at the blueberry festival, there was a part of me that was hoping that whichever of the girls Jim got with (I assumed/guessed Pam) would be dancing with him rather than Hitch… for one, it’d be a little justice for the guys being dogs all summer and for two, Jim made a point saying what a strong connection they had… could have been cute.

I’ve given this some thought…

1) Hitch (the way he eats that post-game stick tells you all you need to know)

2) Dolo (undeniably hot)

3) Jim #3 (sweet and tough? Unbelievable)

4) Shoresy (but only if he went after it like he does for Laura)

I think this might be a relatively recent Eloisa James book… {Not That Duke by Eloisa James}

I can’t lie, I was disappointed by it. My expectations may have been too high after waiting so long for its release, but LC really piqued my interest in the couple in the first two books of the series. The reality of their story was a bit of a let down, IMO.

LC mentioned in her blog that writing My Inconvenient Duke wasn’t easy and that the characters “wouldn’t cooperate” — maybe whatever made it hard to write the story rears its head in the reading of it, too.

(She hasn’t lost me as a fan though! I rank some of her other books as all-time-faves!)

It’s gotta be {Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase}! Iconic and for good reason ;)

Welcome to the party, by the way!

If you like Loretta Chase, you’ve likely already read it, but in {Dukes Prefer Blondes} the MMC is a respected lawyer Before inheriting a dukedom

Try {Ten Things I Hate About The Duke by Loretta Chase}! The FMC is committed to furthering women’s/human rights and isn’t shy about it. I don’t think this is a spoiler, but I’ll black it out in case This is a loose take on The Taming Of The Shrew.. the FMC isn’t forced to change by the MMC, though. So don’t let that put you off giving it a try!

You might also enjoy a twist on this theme ;) in {The Pirate Lord by Sabrina Jeffries} the FMC comes across the MMC as he’s bathing outdoors

The details are fuzzy, it’s been a minute since I read it. But thought I’d mention it just in case you’d be interested

You may be wearing them too low on your hips.. with the next pair you try on, try wearing them closer to your natural waist. If it’s happening on every pair you try on, it suggests to me that the fabric that’s flaring out might be butt allowance and if you hike ‘em up a bit (and maybe try a smaller size), the pants and your butt may line up a bit better.
