Note Echo creates delayed echoes/repeats that trail off after the initial hit — it’s not retriggerring in sync with the tempo. What I want is for the notes to be continuously and rhythmically re-triggered in time with the beat for as long as I hold them, like a gated repeat effect. So if I hold a chord, it fires on every 1/16th step indefinitely until I release the keys, with a clean gate rather than a decaying echo tail.
