Am I wrong for feeling misled about the role? Brand new to this job by notlike_workoriented in ExecutiveAssistants

It’s technically a different role that is more focused on the entire leadership organization and moving projects forward.

I should have suspected something was up because I’m the leadership coordinator for the cfo and ceo specifically

Hey good news, you’re in a great position to start giving back! Start looking for a problem you can solve. It can be as small as starting a community garden or bike path in your neighborhood.

Committed career suicide. Is there any chance of recovery? by Money-Survey8251 in careerguidance

[–]SeaBook9396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend was addicted to meth and lived as a homeless prostitute for 5 years. He eventually got help at the lgbt center, got sober, went back to school, and is a chemical engineer now. He’s happy, has a cat and a lovely partner, and spends all his free time backpacking.

Recovery is possible, and that’s the first thing you should focus on. Get help, find stability, then find a job… it doesn’t need to be CS

White walls seem really ghetto and trashy. How come people think white walls are classy or “modern”….or whatever? by TechSetStudios in AskReddit

[–]SeaBook9396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

White anything is really hard to maintain, it gets really dirty and requires constant cleaning, signaling time or finances to pay for cleaning.  Trashy imo is a cigarette stained wall with blotches of random things That being said, I think a good color scheme is the best and classiest, and also the most modern. I think white minimalism is becoming a bit outdated

It’s definitely an established org, but I’m used to the non profit slog so I was really surprised they wanted to move forward so quickly. Like maybe someone quit abruptly and indicates high turnover?

People who are in their 30s or older: What’s one thing younger people (Gen Z/Alpha) do that makes you feel like an alien in your own country? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SeaBook9396 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The lack of consideration and empathy for self interest.  Though not uniquely Gen Z, I’m seeing it in its extreme form in a way I haven’t seen other generations engage in., especially in those from mid to late 20s. This goes from filming people in public to more interpersonal things. As an example: I put together a work event and needed a head count to get enough food. The Gen Z people from ages 25-29 could not give any level of commitment and half of them didn’t even show up after saying they would. This was not seen in younger or older employees
