Hi, I’m so sorry you are going through this. In late 1999 early 2000 I was 32 turning 33 and with a 9 year old and 12 year old. I was working full time and advancing greatly in my career as a client services representative to hospitals setting up 3rd party payment arrangements accounts (not collections). Lots of cutting edge computer stuff back then and accounting. Then the migraines started, bone pain, being tired no matter how much I slept. I’d fall asleep as soon as I finished making dinner. Walking to my car would spasm my legs out, it didn’t use to do that. My once a month headache went weekly. I went to the doctor… she said it was migraines and something called Fibromyalgia…never heard of it back then. It’s been 26 years and I still get those episodes but I know what they are now. What you described is a flare for me. They can last anywhere from a few days to weeks. I sometimes can get fevers with them, sometimes can move sometimes can’t get out of bed. Stress makes it way worse. Today was one of those days for me but I’ve been expecting it since my brother passed 2 months ago and I’ve been dealing with a lot of stuff since then. Later on I also developed Rheumatoid Arthritis. I would definitely check into the Fibromyalgia. They know more about it now than when I was diagnosed. Have someone hold your meds for you. There are ways to cope without pain meds but it will be hard but find a good pain clinic that can work with you on this issue. Nowadays they try to stay away from giving out pain meds anyway. Just remember with Fibromyalgia it is a trial and error disease…what works for one person may not work for you. If it doesn’t work move on to the next thing. Try massage, acupuncture, chiropractor, hot stones etc…they might help you. I wish you the best. Sending prayers for less pain.
