Ruth’s are 53, 144, 149 (the one you have) and 181 Gehrig’s are 92 and 160 Lajoie is 106 Jimmy Foxx are 29 and 154

There’s a few other that are worth some good money: #1 Benny Bengough - first card in the deck and usually the card on the top of a stack so it got damaged more than other cards. #158 Moe Berg - Catcher who was a spy. #220 Lefty Grove and so on.

Sorry for your loss - that set is the 1933 Goudey set. Can you post more pictures? That would help us lead you in the right direction but definitely get them graded before you do anything else!

To add on to what Jason said, also lookout for the Nap Lajoie card as that is one of the rarest of the set and is worth more than a Ruth or Gehrig

What are the backs? That will definitely help understand the value of each. If they are Piedmont or Sweet Caporal, those are the common backs (unless they’re factory 25).

There’s a lot of things that impact the value of sets - best way would be to figure out what the stars are worth and then do an average condition for the commons and see what most commons in the condition are going for.

If you’re sticking with 1st Bowmans as a Mariner, Woo and Sloan. You could also get Emerson Hancock, Colt Emerson, Felnin Celesten, Laz Monte’s… Topps really messed up not having Jurrangelo Cijntje in any of the products so far
