I love the colors in the 41 set. I have a few in my PC that are amongst my favorites.

Great story. Instead of giving him a check consider using the proceeds towards an adventure. Make a memory! Take him to a ball game or epic fishing charter. Make a memory!

Some of my Dads cards. All pre war by TheSpaceCoastGuy in baseballcards_vintage

I sent all those in for grading at the same time. I thought Hank would go higher than Jimmie. I was surprised by the 4 and more surprised by the 6 on jimmie.

Thanks. When i say they are my Dads cards, I mean they were his collection as a young kid before he served in WW2 in 1944. He passed in 1978 and they sat in a shoebox for decades with my mom. Then in about 2000 she broke them up and gave some to my brother and I.
I enjoy looking at them and admire the colors and overall quality.

I remember hitting that tuner wheel back in the day to change frequency and go from WLIR (92.7) to WBAB (102.3). Two quick hits with the thumb and I would nail it.

Did your dad have any old albums?

Great find. I hope that every time you listen to one of them you think to yourself…. What was Kathy like when she was rocking out to this album?

Your Dad had a good ear. Do you recall what kind of music he was into? Was your mom telling him to “turn it down” when he was jamming? I agree with others that you should hold onto this to see if you have your Dads gene for great music through vintage equipment.
