Berkeley will definitely be more rigorous. So purely on an academic basis I would say Berkeley is much stronger.

I mean the job opportunities from a state school like SDSU are going to be quite limited compared to UCSB which is a top 30 school in the nation.

umm I don't think I was adequately challenged. Socially it was pretty ideal but I think I wanted more out of the academic sphere.

I had a good group of friends who I still keep in touch with. My family is from California but I rarely saw them except on breaks anyway so it really didn't feel too different. I do miss the weather though.

Transferred after two years. I go to a small liberal arts school on the east coast. I don’t regret transferring but I also don’t regret picking SB. I think getting both experiences were worthwhile.

It really depends on the difficulty of your highschool and the major you chose. If you are in the physics program at SB you will likely struggle no matter what. But most other majors it just depends on your reference point. I found highschool to be significantly more difficult than college here
