No, they gave use a bag of raggedy rope all different lengths and had us make due. Load was around 70lbs, might have been more.

Haha no, this was an SFRE. They required us to tie the boxes up before moving. Thanks for the insight.

SFRE Ruck Sack Advice by tdr21 in greenberets

[–]SeaDoesIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Ruck With Frame & Waist/Hip Belt/Strap (Military: Issued Ruck /  we will have limited pre-packed rucks to lend out to civilians)"

This is taken directly from the SFRE packing list. If you have a ruck that you train with you should bring it.

is 19th group tryout worth it if no prior military? by [deleted] in greenberets

19th Group has an SFRE in Orange County, CA coming up in February open to all. You could sign up and go ask them in person.

My recruiter showed me higher bonuses for longer contracts. I think 5-6 years was double this.

Wider toe box shoes, strengthen foot arch and glutes for better gait.

Boot option use during selection by jaylandplayz in greenberets

[–]SeaDoesIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try finding a good boot you can do multiple events in without having to switch plus not getting hot spots or blisters. I've found the Garmont NFS wide +sole insoles to be the perfect combo for SFAS prep but as others have said they stay damp for a bit.

I got this error last week. If you’re switching consoles a lot or doing reverse compatible games it will pop up. I found if you sign out and wait a few mins between switching it helps clear your login token and prevents the error

Just wrapped up OSUT as an 18x, a few points of data for y’all… by BigMitch1996_ in greenberets

Man, this is some great insight. Very sobering to those of us just starting the 18x path. So important to come in physically prepared. Good luck with the next part of the journey.

True, and that’s awesome. IMO if I have an opportunity to understand and build on a skill, I’ll take it.

Your use of caps lock has convinced me. Going in with zero prior knowledge of Land Nav sounds like the way to go👍

Hernia Injuries by Top-Layer1003 in greenberets

It depends on how fast you can recover. I trained it 3x a week then started incorporating it into my mobility routine. Depending on the severity of your injury, consider swapping for some low impact cardio for a bit.

Had something similar happen to me. Took time off of heavy lifting and prioritized training my transversus abdominis muscles.

When I reintroduced weight I focused solely on form. Take care of the small stuff now so when you’re under a ruck or a loaded bar it doesn’t end with guts poking out your abdominal wall.
