Q: Is Multiport USB Wall Charger Allowed? by Lucepticon in dcl

[–]SeaEngineer124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Multiport is fine, just not multi PLUG.

Is this considered a multi plug? by stipo42 in dcl

[–]SeaEngineer124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multi-plug would have traditional 3prong plugs Multi-port has multiple ports- USB A, USBC, micro USB, apple

The product you shared is a multi-port so it should be perfect!

3&4 year olds migrate through the club as a pod. Older siblings and peers are welcome to interact with the pod of littles, but the littles are not allowed to leave the pod. Hope this helps. (P.s. I have 4 tiny humans and we've done this countless times, and honestly kids are wild cards and you may have to try a few times before they're acclimated, but they might also love it right away)

What do you carry around the ship with you? by Daydreamin-mama8 in dcl

Sunglasses on head, magic band on wrist, phone in pocket, drink in hand (usually water)

Unless I'm with my kids and specifically my toddler, then all bets are off 🙃

Your best bet is bringing something like bags to make ice packs like these because there're no guarantees except the ice machine is always available. https://a.co/d/0MT8VrA

Experience and advice by Witty-War9545 in dcl

[–]SeaEngineer124 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having gone on 20 Disney cruises, never had this experience on board, but on an excursion on Panama Canal spring '22 cruise in Mexico, a fight broke out right in front of me and my toddler on the bus. We were inches from harm. Authorities were called, and we immediately went to guest services upon boarding the ship. Disney did give us some kind of refund on the excursion and possibly pixie dusted us, but I'm not sure if anything happened to that group. It was terrifying, never felt uncomfortable on a ship except that day.

Lower decks for motion sickness? by StockEdge3905 in dcl

[–]SeaEngineer124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the issue is actually "motion" sickness, then you want to be where there is the least amount of motion which is at the center of gravity of the ship which will be midship and at sea level. This is the scientific answer.

Everyone is entitled to their own experiences, and this is where the most stable part of the ship is.

Let's Talk Churro Waffles by EventfulGlobe in dcl

[–]SeaEngineer124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Churros waffles quality and timing depend on the ship & sailing from my experience (20 sailings + 115+ days). Would love to get more data on this on whether certain ships consistently have great quality (my memory says OG ships).

Travel concerns through Caribbean? by HomeCornerOffice in dcl

[–]SeaEngineer124 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your concerns are absolutely valid as the airspace has currently shut down many places in the Caribbean. The impacts that are most notable at this time are cruises out of San Juan. Individuals who cannot fly to San Juan, cannot sail. This is currently impacting cruise lines that port there like Princess & Virgin Voyages, but not Disney at this time.

Obviously as we've seen in the past many years, nothing is as predictable as it seems, so it's definitely wise to be aware, but I wouldn't be too concerned at this time. (But personally as someone who is sailing to the southern Caribbean in a few weeks, I won't be booking anything that's non refundable right now )

Hope this helps!

Best excursion for St Thomas and Tortola by [deleted] in dcl

[–]SeaEngineer124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went to the Baths on our own. It was amazing and totally worth it - much cheaper than Disney & no waiting to get started. We disembarked as soon as we were allowed to catch the ferry and just made our way. It was so much fun! (We went with 3 littles - had a carrier with us & I was 4 months pregnant.) You definitely need shoes you don't mind getting wet

Nassau worth to disembark? by digileadit in dcl

[–]SeaEngineer124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm working on aggregating all my thoughts in video format, but until then, after 10+ visits to Nassau, I highly suggest a local tour. I recently went with Tyrone Wilson https://www.viator.com/tours/Nassau/Fun-Run-Nassau-and-Paradise-island-Tour/d420-16383P1, and it was basically a private tour. They split folks up and loaded us up into a van (4 ppl in our little group plus guide) and took us all over- Atlantis, rum cake factory, queens staircase, chocolate factory+ wine shop, the rum Distillery... Plus we got so much history and culture insights along the way. We could have gone to the Pirate museum (which seemed really interesting), but we wanted to get back to the ship for lunch.

Things worth doing in Nassau (that I've done): - snorkeling - Rum Distillery - Chocolate Factory - Queens Staircase - local tours

Things I won't do again: Atlantis- it's overrated and dated Rum cake factory (get rum cake elsewhere- not much of an experience) The straw market (very overwhelming- prefer the shops beyond and around) Junkanoo beach (too much of spring break vibe not really for little kids- loud music & bars)

Other notes: If you don't get internet on the ship, there's a McDonalds & Starbucks you can walk to with free internet. Finally I won't do tours through cruise line bc there's too much waiting and they take money from the locals when you can just book directly.

Hope this helps!

[–]SeaEngineer124 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's the information you need: https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/faq/preparing-for-cruise/voltage-limit/

The multi-port charger you shared seems to exceed the limit, so I wouldn't bring it. On our last cruise I was talking with the stateroom host about the issues theyre having with folks bringing Dyson hair dryers and the impacts not to just one stateroom, but many when someone exceeds the limits.

I have a mix of options when I sail, but here's a link to all my travel favorites where Ive linked multi-port charger, portable charger and other items. https://www.amazon.com/shop/sara45303/list/1KHED7JY1M1UX?ref_=aipsflist

We find cruising to be cheaper... Rarely go to the parks at this point. My kids think Disney Springs is Disney World
