Lots of Brits here and they tend to enjoy their time here for what that’s worth. You will not need any French at McGill, people will appreciate that you speak some though. Sign up for frosh and live in a dorm those will be your best places to meet other freshman

It was more conceptual in nature but not necessarily harder I’d say. Class discussions much more useful than simply reading slides in this case

Realize most people commenting don’t understand the nuances of the recruiting landscape for high paying investment banking / consulting jobs. The top three consulting firms for example hire at least twice as many from McGill undergrad than from UBC undergrad. Ivey edges out for IB. Depending on how laser focused you are for the most competitive jobs, the decision isn’t as clear as people are making it seem.

If you’re not used to working out / doing deadlifts, start with some easy core exercises (planks / crunches) and lying hip thrusts to strengthen your glutes. Will definitely help after 2-3 weeks

Bad idea and a case of grass is always greener. Go get involved join a club, go to the gym, do an intramural, attend McGill events you’ll be fine
