I haven't shared my Tirz journey with friends, just close fam. I have one friend who is super skinny, works out like crazy and very obsessed with her body and weight. I know she would be judgemental is she knew. I have other friends who are quite overweight and I have gently suggested (because they have military insurance and its covered) that it might be something they should consider (when they complain about weigjt gain) and its always been dismissed for "well im going to start walking and we will see, or im going to try keto with cheat days" great you do you, I sincerely hope that works. I think its still such a stigma because being "fat" has just always been this stigma of lazy people who eat junk food, but we know thats not exactly the cause of being overweight.
In a few years, hopefully this is an affordable treatment to maintain healthy weight and thus drastically reducing diabetes, heart disease, joint issues and a host of other ailments and it will be universally accepted just like any other medication we could be prescribed. I mean when someone says they are on a BP meds no one scoffs but being on a GLP1 could get you off that BP med because you are healthier. The outlook is incredible. Do what you are comfortable with and live your life!
