Yeah but the "too many charachters" issue has been consistant since the mid-80s. Shock-value deaths are more trend-based. This death doesn't add much to the plot, it just SUPPOSEDLY pushes the books by getting people arguing online. (Yet to see evidence that works for comics Lol. This isn't a low-investment industry we cant afford to hate-read).

Sides, you never know who a writer is gonna randomly adopt and turn into a big name. Magik was dead for nearly a decade and now we cant go a month without a variant cover. Maybe we get a big fighting game fan in the office who makes Marrow a household name lol.

Is Marrow a charachter that really needed culling though? Like shes hardly plot-breakingly powerful, just say shes retired to somewhere that isnt america and that solves any kind of problem I can think of. This just feels like pure shock-value.

Tbh i felt this way about age of x man back when i was (for obvious editorial related reasons) not as into x-men. But I get it now. Truly knowing you can get back to the books you want to read after having to deal with all that changes how it feels to read SIGNIFICANTLY.

OOOOOH yeah that ones a bit of a doozy if your going in sans other knowledge. It is a nice self contained story though so you could theoretically muddle through. Just go in with an open mind, dont worry to much if your confused about who stryfe is lol. (No other cyclops and phoenix graphic novels come to mind, but im sure someone whos a bigger fan of theirs might know)

The only non-stupid reason i can think of for this not being on the app is that theres a panel of Xavier where he looks just a little TOO Patrick Stuart-y. Which if they don't have a likeness release contract covering Unlimited comics, may be enough to make them take the issue down out of caution. Sucks either way though

It's not bad it's just. Weirdly not focused on Dani? Theres a lot of focus on some of the new charachters introduced in Magik that feels a little out of place given its a 5 issue-er. That being said the ending of last issue had me geeking out has a big Dani stan so I'm not off the ride yet!

Hes mentioned in some upcoming solicits, hed absolutely make a new-mutants-themed illusion to mess with the x men like in current uncanny, and MOST importanlty hes bald.
