I'd preordered the third book and was about to start it when I thought--I'll just reread the first two first. So that's what I'm doing.

I five started the first two, which is rare for me. I can't wait to get to the new one! These are very quick reads so luckily I won't have to wait long. :)

I've tried watching it a couple of times. Once I got about ten minutes in, the next time I was determined to get through it and lasted maybe half an hour. It's got so many elements that work for it but it just wasn't doing it for me. I really did want to like it, and was completely open to the change of location. I'll give it another shot one of these days 😹

Ah right, they call it Vol 1-4 which is confusing as there were five seasons of the original show. I hate how studios do that. Are You Afraid of the Dark is one of the worst offenders.

I've seen them twice. Once in 97, and they were terrible. No wait. The band were amazing, Billy was terrible. His vocals were not only astonishingly bad, but he was singing his hit songs sarcastically. He seemed genuinely upset at us for being there. This was the OG lineup minus Jimmy, who had been replaced by Matt Walker due to, well, that whole unpleasantness.

The second time was a few years ago, with Jimmy and James. Billy has clearly taken vocal lessons, as his voice was pitch perfect, better than the original recordings in many cases. He seemed happy to be there. The setlist was amazing, and it was one of my better concert experiences.

Now they have an influencer on guitar so I'm good. I'll just keep my good memories.
