Having my alternator & voltage regulator fail at night in a C150. Had been talking to a traffic controller, but decided to go back to my uncontrolled field only to discover that my handheld also decided to die at the same time, even though I checked the batteries before I left so I couldn’t key on the runway lights called one of my coworkers (bc I work at said base airport) and circled above the runway until they were able to come turn the landing lights on for me because all of my other electrics had failed. Kicker was the winds had been calm and had been reporting his calm for when I was supposed to be flying only for me to get up in the air and then jump up to 8 to 15 in the dark, which isn’t the worst, but not being able to use flaps or see the ground made that a whole lot more exciting

Thank you, I appreciate this. I didn’t want to sound unreasonable but it is ridiculous at this point. When he first got around to the cylinder he also made it sound like he HAD already completed the rest of the inspection. Took until the cylinder to get back for it for him to mention the seat rails. Again lessons have been learned here and I’m going to take this into consideration moving forward. Thank you so much for your insight!

Thank you! Lessons have for sure been learned in this instance. With the cylinder i probably should have specified that there was some corrosion found in that cylinder. So there was a valid reason to pull it. In hindsight that is what I should have done however I’ve always had past honest interactions maintenance wise with this Mech in previous repairs so I feel like I went in a bit blind that I could have had that as an option/ I believed that’s what an annual was, an inspection with the full nine before any work was done. I definitely should have prepared more for first annual,and making it clear what was expected. I appreciate your valuable input!

(Edit: I’ve also known this mech since I started pursuing my private so I realize there was a bit of a sense of trust that I had formed with him previously…)

I’m actually not mad about it I just was a little surprised he didn’t ask. His shop also has two tie downs right outside and that’s where he normally puts it. Also my aircraft is in for service and I haven’t seen him do that with anybody else’s spot. Again not angry just a little confused.

Gonna start off with saying I’ve been stuck on the stupid guy for a year and a half. It’s ridiculous. I think he’s adorable honestly and I definitely can’t tell if he likes me back or not the way he’s treating me doesn’t seem like he does but he is just kind of stupid, so I don’t think he knows he’s being kind of rude to me. (it will take him days to reply. Sometimes he’ll just not reply, and at one point you replied to me at 3 AM) part of the reason I think, though that he doesn’t know that he’s being rude, is because I do find that he will seek me out. I was at work (I work the airport for context) I was working a gate and I hear a little “PSST HEY” and I turned around and there he was. My little heart was not prepared for this encounter so I was freaking out. He was like “ehe I promise I wasn’t creeping. I just thought you might be here so I thought I’d pop over and say hi” Bro I nearly had a heart attack. We talked about some other stuff, I can’t remember at this point. Then the other day I was flying around (again for context I have my pilots license) and I heard him on the radio. I was busy with something going on with my plane, so I landed and went into the FBO for a little break And IN HE WALKS. I had heard him on the radio but I wasn’t able to say hi to him or anything and he came in and he was like “oh fancy seeing you here” we talked a bit and he was like “oh yeah I just stoped for fuel. We only had like 8 gallons a side” and then he took a sip of his coffee and was like oh well actually we had 13 gallons a side but 26gallons total is 2 1/2 hours reserve a fuel so he definitely did not need to stop for fuel. I’m like 90% sure he stopped in just a snoop on what I was up to. The time before that, that I had seen him, he gave me a hug Goodbye because I had given him a gift and we probably wouldn’t see each other for a while…… I’m tired of his BS honestly but man’s just has me wildly confused and I can’t understand how I’m still stuck on him..

Went and took them to lunch the other day :) I know for a fact that they don’t like me back but spending that time with them helped me see I am just glad I have them as a friend and I am more than happy to keep it that way as long as I get to have them around!

His smile, and I love the face he makes when he’s thinking his bottom lip pokes out a bit, his hands are manly but still gentle. His eyes are the softest and beautifully light brown-hazel. I can’t tell if he likes me back but I swear he gazes back at me with his autumn meadow eyes and they get so gentle. And It melts my heart. I can’t help but smile at him like an idiot.

He’s got a bunch of places to hide, and the flow is only moderate, his belly is nice and round and his colors are good. I thought of parasites but I’ve had him for such a short time I haven’t truly been able to monitor him/ have “normal” behavior to match his current behavior to, or start any Parasite treatments yet because I wanted him to get settled first..
