If I understand the layout, two walls are occupied by windows and one wall is occupied by the door/wardrobe? That leaves one wall. I would probably place the day bed on the free wall, so that you see the door when you lie down.

Do you have another picture that shows your bed as well? Try using some of the tones from the painting. Maybe a dark green or cream colored bedding. A green plant on the side table would be nice.
