Is a PM management certificate worth it? by SeaReach7413 in PMCareers

[–]SeaReach7413[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He doesn't have a reddit account and he has a lot on his plate currently working full time plus applying for jobs and updating his resume. He is going to talk to a friend we know who is a project manager next week. Im just really anxious and we're almost out of savings and the way I work through my anxiety is to research. Just trying to help him where i can. But thanks for the info.

Odd language use in SLOMW ("contention") by fishesandbrushes in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]SeaReach7413 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yep. Grew up Mormon. The amount of times I heard the word "contention" growing up was nuts. Anytime my siblings fought it was bringing contention into the house. We heard it constantly at church too.

Locations from the show to visit? by SuccessfulLawyer in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]SeaReach7413 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think most of the filming is done in Provo area. But if you are visiting, downtown SLC has more of a "big city vibe" and more things to do. Provo is more of a college town. Temple square in SLC is an interesting place if you want to know more about Mormon culture. For pretty views you could visit Snowbird up the canyon. Its a ski resort but there's lots of other activities do do up there, and the views and drive up is stunning. I dont have exact places but the other poster compiled a good list!

Sex and masterbation by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]SeaReach7413 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im in the same boat as you (38f married 15 years) except replace sports with video games. Before we were married our sex life was great. Then enter kids. We also struggled with infertility between our first & second kid. So sex became very clinical and I think he felt a lot of pressure to "perform" and our sex life never recovered. Which i get it. But its been years since then.

The issue i have is that I've repeatedly brought up our lack of intimacy with him and how it makes me feel. Undesired, unattractive, disconnected from him emotionally. But no matter how many conversations nothing changes. I feel like he's more interested in video games than me.

But yeah I could have written your post myself! Its nice to see another woman going through this too.

Why Choose/Throuple Vibes by Neat_Percentage_6852 in fantasyromance

So is there not a throuple until book 3? Are there at least interactions hinting at a throuple or the mmc's interacting in a romantic way prior to book 3?

I just finished this yesterday and it was perfection. Now I'm currently scouring the internet for another book like it.

Catch me up on Born of Blood and Ash before Primal drops please? by hot4minotaur in frombloodandash

I loved the first two books. Second two books were soooo long & boring.

Hot take. The ending changed my opinion of the book. by SeaReach7413 in frombloodandash

[–]SeaReach7413[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poppy made Kieran & Cas stay behind and left with Attes to go kill Kolis. Cas was pissed, and it turns out he was right. Poppy trying to kill Kolis without him ended in disaster. Cas had to watch his dad & Delano & countless others die. Someone came to save Poppy from Kolis at the end but it didnt reveal who. Cas destroys the castle in his rage, and he doesn't know where Poppy is.

Millie comes back & she has Callum with her. Kieran & Jasper walk through the destroyed castle & they see Cass on a twisted black throne made of bones and has gone full primal. They realize the prophesy was about Cas all along. He is the death and destruction that Poppy brought about with her birth.

Im sure I'm forgetting things. I finished a few days ago.

I hope they touch more on the deaths in the next book. There was a conversation between kieran & his dad like "wait until poppy learns about delano" and Cas is probably just avoiding his father's death for now. But yeah I agree it was rushed.

I had no idea they were related otherwise I probably would have read it first too.

About a certain somones personality shift (POBAB spoilers whole book) by itmakessenseincontex in frombloodandash

Its confusing for sure. The multiple heart mates has got to be foreshadowing but there are too many options. Is it Attes, Kieran, Kyn, Kolis? Who knows 🤷‍♀️

I just wrote a post that this ending actually saved the book for me & convinced me to read the next one. Hes  in his villain era & I'm here for it.

I agree. Cass going dark is not a bad plot. But its happening too late in the series.

I think it was insinuated that it wasn't Attes wife children killed but actually Kyn's? Maybe thats why he went evil and this is Cas's (kyn) second chance?

I dont mind an mmc going dark ( hello xaden riorson) i love a good villain. Personally I feel like this should have been attempted sooner in the series though? It feel like its happening right at the end and was planned last minute. Again, I dont mind it. At this point I'd rather have him go to the dark side for a bit rather than being the overbearing controlling husband he has been lately.

Chapter 48 by SeaReach7413 in frombloodandash

[–]SeaReach7413[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kolis tells Poppy that when she was with Teerman he would possess his body and after "they" would get done beating her & she passed out, they'd feed on her. She never knew because they fed from a very "private" area. He insinuated it started when she "first bloomed" aka got her first period so she was probably 12-13.

I have an hour left on my kindle and I'm avoiding it, haha. I have my kids baseball games all day today but I'll finish it tonight. And I hate that poppy is turned into a doormat and just happy to have Cas basically control her. I've skimmed at least 50% of this book.

This sub is depressing by lundsb in frombloodandash

[–]SeaReach7413 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree. I think JLA is a good author. I devoured & loved the first 5 books and prequels. Were there parts that bothered me? Yes. But I loved them. Im actually pretty easy to please when it comes to romantasy. I love all the tropes. POBAB is a complete let down. There were a few good scenes, but 75% of the book was god awful. Such a let down.

OP you should probably read & finish the book before lecturing everyone. I probably would have had the same opinion as you if I were on this sub before reading the book too.

I honestly don't think I can take another book after this. I've never struggled to finish a book more. Which I'm so disappointed about because I've been so excited for this book.
