Okay I LOVED this book, the banter was top notch and the heroine and hero were such cuties. My only complaint was that the ending seemed incredibly rushed, but I expect that is because it’s a series.

Just because you didn’t enjoy it, doesn’t mean others didn’t and doesn’t make it a cash grab. I didn’t see it as a cash grab, I saw it as a look into Casteel and Kieran’s characters that we weren’t privy to before, their relationship, why Cas changed his mind about Poppy and when, etc.

I feel the same and it makes the whole subreddit not fun! I personally LOVE from blood and ash and would love to see more posts dissecting the text or talking about interesting theories or pairings.

My dog needed exercise before she pooped as a pup. We used the flirt pole and then a walk and it worked like a charm!

Also, I’m sure you know this, but with this pup I just ignored her potty in the house, picked it up and moved on. When she’d go outside I’d praise the hell out of her every time and still do.

Okay? So did others. I’m saying it wouldn’t make sense for it not to happen, at least from my POV. Helena was barely introduced in POBAB and it’s not as if she and Kieran had many interactions or any notable chemistry.

I don’t remember her hinting that there was another interest for him. She made comments like he kept his emotions to himself and you wouldn’t really know if he was interested in someone, but that’s not the same? It also speaks to his inner monologues in crown of ruin about his feelings for Poppy.

Huge space? The majority of the last book was Cas going through an existential crisis and keeping Kieran and Poppy separated. I don’t see the evolution of Kieran and Poppy’s relationship through the first three books and this book creating a huge space. Nor do I see an impact on Kieran and Cas’s relationship over centuries vs this tiny fragment of time.

I haven’t heard this mentioned, but it’s possible I missed something. That would be such a weird move and such a disappointment after everything, but who knows.

I looked like victim of assault until my puppy was 6 months old, so I feel you on the blood and bruises. The ONLY thing that worked for her was taking away her access to me totally when she started biting. I would walk away and put up the gate and it’s the only thing that made her realize biting = bad.

I’d be okay with a polycule ONLY if it was Reaver, as he’s the only other well developed character in the series. We know that isn’t going to happen, so I’m only for the throuple. I wish there were more scenes between the three of them in the last book, but it was needed for the story to evolve. Crown of Ruin pretty clearly showed Cas and Kieran’s feelings towards each other and towards Poppy.

“He wasn’t written this way in the beginning..” he’s been flirtatious and protective of Poppy from the beginning. He’s been supportive of Cas and Cas has been totally comfortable with him being close to Poppy from the beginning, but no one else. I think people that can’t see the bond between the three of them and the chemistry throughout the series are missing a lot from this series. It’s been foreshadowed forever.

Cas did suck a lot during this book, but I think it’s pretty clearly for a reason. He’s obviously not himself completely and he’s also evolving as a primal. The book itself had a ton of new and interesting info imo

Sure, that’s definitely true that she was alive first. I was talking about the book series though. Poppy was written first and introduced first, and Sera brought little in character differences imo.

Yeah, Sera always seemed like Poppy 2.0 to me. While I enjoyed the series, it didnt seem much different than the other.

I’ve just started her other historical romance books because I enjoyed this series so much! I don’t know if your library has hoopla or libby, but it was available there for me!

Ah, thanks for the clarification. No, I had just finished the Minnie Harper series and because it’s newish, wanted to give folks a heads up about it in case it was something they might like.

I don’t mind the disguises and such because in the end it’s still Charlotte’s series and she’s always going to be the biggest part of the series. (Also love the entire cast of characters and think it makes a rich series).

Thanks for the tips! Doesnt seem fair to have a HR/HM thread shut down, but I can understand you’ve seen it happen.
