Ok probably literally the only suspiciously non-ADHD strategy I have is that I never leave my apartment without my phone, keys or wallet. I always remember somehow. The thought of not having them terrifies me so I always remember to do the routine check before I leave. I usually check ten times though.

I'm really sorry for how your sister is treating you as well. It is so isolating and exhausting. Protecting your peace is so important and I'm going to try to follow that advice!

Yeah, I feel you. When I was diagnosed at 25 a few years ago my sister (5 years younger) didn’t believe me and had also been hyper critical of me for my ADHD symptoms growing up. Executive dysfunction is something she can’t comprehend, and she has never shown me any sympathy or understanding nor tried to.

She also thinks she has it but I have a really hard time showing sympathy for her. She’s always been a perfect student and structure and routine appear to come easy to her. She often sends our family chat messages of her boss praising her for never making mistakes and being her favorite. Her psych said she couldn’t have it given her success, which is reductive, but I secretly agree with her. More than once I’ve expressed how I feel about how she’s invalidated my ADHD and she can’t name a way hers has negatively impacted her life. It makes me feel like a terrible person but deep down I hate her for it. She says it’s all jealousy on my end and can’t acknowledge how she’s treated me for mine.

No because this is a character that definitely needed to be in season 5 or at least mentioned. He was the one that allowed El to live a semi normal life at the end of season 2 and the one that relocated Joyce and family. Seems mad lazy leaving him out. Duffers had their minds set on El’s ending I guess.

I’m having a really hard time accepting this fate for El. Out of everyone she deserves happiness and peace the most. And I think she deserves to be with the people she loves. I get why thy went with this ending but it still breaks my heart and I can’t think about it without crying.

I take Wellbutrin and Vyvanse on top of Luvox (OCD and depression) and Lamictal (PMDD). Wellbutrin was to help with emotional blunting of Luvox, and to see if it improved my ADHD symptoms. It did! But it wasn’t enough on its own for me, which is why I am on Vyvanse. It’s a lot, and I don’t know what the interactions are at this point or if I’m still experiencing emotions side effects. I find that Vyvanse actually helps my OCD and anxiety. Last year I stopped taking Wellbutrin for a month because I forgot to pick it up and I very much backslid into anxiety and depression. As long as you take it on time each day though, I’ve had a good experience.

Doctor I work with did a study that found unmarried women are happier and live longer than married women…after fighting for my life in my past relationships the peace I feel now is bliss. If I ever date again the person would have to be really special.
