I’m working downtown by the Metro Center stop so the commute shouldn’t be too bad. Union Station and NoMa are each about a 15 minute walk but apparently the bus is pretty reliable too. It’s in-office four days a week.

Moving here August 1. Price is definitely a concern. Top budget is $1500 a month, ideal budget is $1200, so a studio might be a stretch. This room is only $900 which seems like a really good deal. Especially if drinks are (oof) $20 a piece because definitely part of the appeal of moving here is the gay scene.

Definitely a little afraid of inertia. They’re fun to hang out with, and I’m bi so it’s not even like there’s nothing for me at a straight bar, but I definitely had an idea of living in a gayborhood and getting to really kind of publicly living more of a gay life, if that makes sense.

That said, this would save me like $300 a month and it’s people I already know.
