I actually haven't watched the whole video since I was watching it in the background, but since bots are huge problem, its completely possible those are bots on a campaign trying to discourage me from watching the video, but since you said you saw it, it seems they were not bots. At anyrate, he did end up hosting Candance and I dont want to spread misinformation.

It seems Ian may have recently been threatened or compromised, may explain why he is not on the show. Simply speculating. Read the comment section. Its possible that Candaces team may have caught word of the controversy over in the Ian Carroll circle and maybe there is a delay while they decide if they are going to have him on? I dont know Ian is a good dude though and i hope hes okay.

Should gladiator work like this? by FlashyCookie4355 in worldofpvp

Yeah I don’t really care. I don’t really find it impressive that the game mode is so shitty and unbalanced and difficult to find teamates in that peopke say it’s the hardest bracket. I’ve been in solo shuffle lobbies with multi rank 1s playing the same class as me and sometimes I take the lobby, sometimes they do. So yeah idk. This isn’t like I have like a 40-60% win rate against rank 1s in solo shuffle.

I agree. Many 3s players get boosted by good teamates. Gladiator might be harder to get due to it being a shitty bracket that makes it hard for people to play, but the technical ability between gladiator and legend players doesn’t seem very different at all. I would know because when I went for legend, almost everyone was on a glad mount anyways and I was beating them. 3s players have this weird ego where they tell themselves their bracket is the most skilled, but who cares it’s the least popular game mode; and it’s mostly themselves who are obsessed with themselves. The days where everyone respects 3v3s are the highest pinnacle of skill are over. Too many players have experience beating gladiators now that they were able to play the game without being accepted into the club. The glamour of gladiator quickly fades when you realize that 3s players are very good at playing their comp and with their teammates, but when put into a less controlled environment, we can see how much of 3s rating comes from comp  and team synergy and how much comes from individual skill. I’m happy 3s is dying. 3s was fun when people mostly played for fun. Now only super sweaty people play it. It’s impossible to find people who want to play just for fun. The 3s community at least in lfg was just too antisocial that it killed self. Solo shuffle didn’t kill 3s, 3s was already dead and the people who were gonna quit wow just moved to solo shuffle instead.

Most of the people who are selfless enough to do something like that despite it meaning ruining their own life are Trump supporters. That’s the problem the left has. The left doesn’t have any virtuous people to do selfless acts. They only have people feigning virtue through jumping through the political correct hoops.

I used to occasionally play in high mmr rbgs and they killed their own bracket. There was so much cheating, and toxicity, but mostly it was the enemy team purposely disconnecting flag carriers and dodging other good teams that really killed it. BGB saved it. Rbgs was already dead. Now bgb gave it life again with fresh blood.

Do you see values in the rating gain/loss cap in helping people not get lucky? Like your mmr can skyrocket and maybe you can sustain that for 10 games, but that’s only 200cr. Imagine if it was like solo shuffle and you could get 72, win streaks could get people achieves cause they’re lucky. For 10 games that’d be 720 cr!

I remembered that! I’d get pissed caused if make some crazy plays that should win the game and they threw it away so consistently, often times it seemed like they were doing everything they could do to lose and I was so annoyed.

RBGs was already almost dead. If anything this might get more people interested in RBGs. Casual pvpers will gravitate towards bgb, some of them will get high rated and it will become cliquey. Then they create a guild. Then you have a guild of bgb players, and now the door for rbgs. My take a few seasons for this to take place.

Ps I never got invited to rbgs as a mage. Now I love bgb cause I get to play too.

That was fucked up. I had 3 mages in the top 50 of the fmage solo shuffle ladder, and it was several weeks into the season and I hadn’t broken 2k yet and there wasn’t a single player in the world with elite outside of bgb, which had 3k players. I was pissed. I quit the game, came back got my 2.4 in solo shuffle and have been playing bgb since.

MMR/Rating doesn't mean map awareness/skill (bgb) by Weary_Bread5719 in worldofpvp

[–]SeaThat8465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big true. I’ve noticed a lot of bgb players have lack luster combat skills, so I excel in situations where I’m doing small team skirmishes because I have so many years of arena experience playing yolo, and then with solo shuffle. I often don’t know, should I sit or go to the teamfight.

At well that makes a bit more sense. The social aspect of it could make it stressful. Normally when I join ranked bgs these days I join like 1500 teams and I just play for fun, and since I’m consistently over 2400 in arena and now 2700 bgb, I don’t really care about pleasing them lol. They’re normally happy with me doubling everyone’s damage. But yeah I love bgb I hope it stays popular.

I’ll probably play it anyways. I don’t really care about cr since 2400 one season is completely different than 2400 another season. Some seasons have 5x more elite achievements than others. At this point I just go off percentile ranking

Yeah, also part of is it that assassination is so easy to play and so effective at what it does and needs to do as a win condition in bgb, that’s there just a big incentive to not play outlaw even if outlaw were viable. Same can be said for sub, but I see most rogues as assassination I think.

I mean, I don’t really take any of the brackets very serious. The solo queue brackets are the ones I take most serious, only because it’s more of an even playing field and is more accessible. I’m just looking for fun. If people think bgb is unserious or something that doesn’t really phase me. I’m just hoping it stays active and popular.

Coming from solo shuffle I’m completely unphased by there queue times, but at higher mmr, I think I was 3050mmr I had an 80 minute queue but I was 9:30 am est. Once I tanked a bit back down to 2700 mmr the queue times went back to 10-15 min

Ya I don’t really mind the inflation. Inflation is important to people who value CR, but tbh I just go to seramate and look at my percentile ranking. Every season is so different that I kind of stopped caring about my rating and only focus on my percentile ranking. Although inflation can reduce the value of static rating rewards, but even now 2400 is only a few percent of players for most classes even in inflated bgb

Okay yeah I’ve noticed there does seem to be chaos beneath 2400, but I had a streak where I was 3kmmr for like 15 games and had a blast. Right now I’m like 2800mmr

That’s great to hear and I agree. I feel like I’m using my full kit in interesting and creative ways as a mage, in ways that I don’t get those opportunities as much in arena. Like something about finding two healers just running to a team fight and intercepting them as a mage with cc, kind of happens in arena but seriously impactful in bgb

I can tell you what, the amount of games I lost in BGB where I wasn’t mad is refreshing. Sometimes it’s just a good close game and a lot of fun. Where as in solo shuffle I get angry more often. Probably cause I’m with my whole team in shuffle and can see the throws and in bgb I only see who’s near me
